Silk Amino Acids make things silky

"I have always used silk amino acids in my lotion, cremes, and body butters, to impart a silky feel. I don't think my products would be nearly as nice without this addition. I add a few drops to these products in addition to whatever amount is in the base already. I also add silk amino acids to my peach soap and this makes a wonderfully soothing bar, a customer favorite."

Q&A

I noticed that silk amino acids can have an aroma to it that is not very pleasant. I have been told it depends on the supplier and the amount added to the product. Is there any details on this or if there is a noticeable fragrance to this product? TY
This can vary per individual olfactory sense and product batch. Some customers have noticed a faint scent before use while most have reported being unable to detect it in their finished product. We recommend ordering a small size (such as 0.5-oz) to test.
Hello. Can I use foaming bath whip in place of the silk amino acids if I am making a facial cleanser? Thank you.
Yes you can use foaming bath whip as a facial cleanser, Silk Amino Acids is considered a additive that can be used on skin.
Can this be used in HP soap? If so, what percentage and when/how to add it? Would this product give the same or similar properties as the Tussah Silk does?
The Recommended usage rate is between 2-5% by weight for silk amino acid. Tussah Silk gives more of a slippery feel on silk, While Silk Amino acid Thought to provide a protective barrier and silky feel to formulations
I saw in another question that you say this is the same as hydrolyzed silk. Would this be the same thing as foaming silk, or is that a different product all together?
No, this is not the same as foaming silk.
Can this be added to the Bubble Bath Clear, Body Wash Pearl, Clear Conditioning Shampoo, Hair Conditioner and Lip Balm Base for Sticks? If so, what percentages would you recommend for each to provide the best result?
This can be used at 1-3% in all of the listed bases except for Lip Balm Base for Sticks.
