Directions

Warm the base on low heat to about 120°F or until fully liquid, then add cosmetic-grade fragrance and FDA-approved colorant within recommended usage limits. Pour into containers, allow to cool to room temperature, then cap and label. Do not exceed IFRA guidelines or the product’s 4% maximum fragrance load; too much color may cause the lotion to lose its white appearance, and too much fragrance can thin the formula.

"This Silky Body Butter base works well with my fragrance oils. It does have a slight 'scent' but it is easily covered with fragrance. This body butter base goes on smoothly and absorbs quickly. It is great for dry, Winter skin."

Chemically potent, ??? for smell

"As for the chemical part, I have nothing to complain about, no acceleration (no water discount), smell is extremely potent (used at 5%), no ricing, no vanilla is always nice. For the smell, I find it abhorrent. The ""almond/ginger"" reeks of something akin to chemical imitation of almond, I don't smell any other notes. Usually if something smells awful OOB, I'll find it much more pleasant diluted in soap, but wasn't isn't the case for this FO. I hate the OOB smell as much as the soap itself. My husband says it smells good and correctly smelled lemon at first when I didn't even know there was lemon in it till I looked at the listing, so ?? everyone's sniffer is different."

It is a thick cream that can be packagedin a jar

"I bought a sample of this from a vendor, I hadn't thought about it until now that I am not up to making my own creams and butter this year so this will do be a good substitute. I love the ingredients it has everything I would add if I was creating my own bb without the time consuming set up and break down of my work station. Will someone tell Karen that Diazolidinyl Urea is a preservative. Urea is a synthetic carbamide that is an exfoliant/ moisturizer."

Feels a bit too heavy

"It's moisturizing, no doubt about that. It made my dry hands feel so much better. But the lower star rating is because even though I applied only a small amount, as I rubbed it into my hands it started pilling on my skin and I had to go to the sink and brush off the little lotion bits. Once I wiped them off I can feel it on my hands a long time. I don't personally mind that as I have extremely dry hands no matter what I do so a heavier formula just lasts longer on me. But I don't know that I love the product because of the rubbing off in little lotion flakes."

Great Whipped

"I recommend this as a Extra to go w/ the the Whipped Soap as a Extra Moisturizer after showering or bathing. I whipped w/ just a Hand mixer fill up my container then fill a Decorating tube up and top it off it holds it's shape well cause its thick and a Lil lotion goes along way. For a thinner fluffy look i add just a touch of natural vegetable glycerine it gives it a nice glossy finish. Thanks for a awesome Product."

OMG!!

"I received my body butter a week or so ago and there was no need for me to open it right away because I wanted to find out all I needed to know about it before I started working with it. What I can put in it, what not to use, things like that. I opened it about 10 minutes ago and I'm sorry I didn't open it sooner. The bucket must have shifted sideways in trasit so when the top came off, I had to put most of it back it the bucket off the top. At first, I thought it felt waxy because so much was on my hands but after rubbing it in, I fell in love!! I continue every few mintues to look at my hands because they feel so good and I hadn't put anything in it yet! I can't wait to start working with this, especially after I add everything I want to it. I have never bought a gift for anyone in my life. We were raised to make thing with our hands, so I have always been into crafts. I can't wait to give this to my friends and family. . . Once again Debbie, you're the greatest and so is your staff. Everyone is so kind and will talk with you until you are satified with the answer! I'll never go any where else! I'm a customer for life!! Thanks"

WONDERFUL

"Ordered a sample size and am in love with this body butter. It's thick and it hold scent very well, better than most. I used something that ususally discolors but it stayed bright with the correct amount of Vanilla Brwoning Neutralizer and it did not thin out when the fragrance and Vanilla Browning Neutralizer was added. It's not stick or greasy. It's perfect."

Can this be microwaved?: This base can be heated in the microwave.We recommend 30 second bursts until the base is loose enough to stir in any additives.
How can I add goat milk powder to this? If yes, how?: Yes, you can add goat milk powder to this base. Be to add in small amounts to prevent clumping. The base can hold up to 5% extra additives.
Can I use the Pomegranate or Pomegranate Champagne with this base? If so, do I use vanilla stabilizer with the Pomegranate? Thank you Debbie LAUREN: Yes, these fragrances oils can be used in this base. You will use the Vanilla Color Stabilizer - Lotions & Washes for the Pomegranate FO.
Can this base be use by kids.Can oil and water actives be added.If viscosity is loss, what can be done.: This is a general use lotion base. You will need to check the ingredients to determine whether this base fits your needs. You can add both oil- and water-soluble additives to this base. There is no way to thicken this base after thinning it out because it is already emulsified. We recommend making a small test batch and starting at a low percentage of added ingredients.
