"This kit is wonderful for beginners like me. It gives you everything needed to make these but the patience to let them dry all the way. I found that it takes much longer than the 15 minutes the recipe indicated. I think I would have liked to have an additional mold. However I may have used more alcohol than I should have too. For the most part 90% of my molds came out nicely and for a beginner like me that made me very happy."

How much polysorbate 80 would you need to add per pound of salts to prevent tub stains?: It depends how much color you use in your bath salts, but we recommend using about 1% poly 80.

Since you are using micas do you need to use polysorbate 80 to prevent tub staining? I made a similar salt and used mica and it left color on the container that I used to test it. But then I used polysorbate 80 and it clumped. Any help appreciated! Thank you!: Any color you use will leave some residue. You might try adding a little less color with your salts. Try mixing the Poly 80 with your fragrance oil and then mixing into the salts. Be sure to let them air dry before packaging.
What is the shelf life of this product once it is packaged?: Finished products are best used within one year of manufactured date.
