This red liquid colorant is

"This red liquid colorant is absolutely stunning—rich, vibrant, and crystal clear when used in melt and pour soap. It creates a gorgeous stained glass effect, allowing light to shine through with a luminous, jewel-like finish. The color stays true and bold without turning muddy, making it perfect for eye-catching designs and layered creations. Scent: Completely neutral, which is exactly what you want in a colorant. It doesn’t interfere with fragrance oils at all, allowing your chosen scent to remain pure and true. Stained Glass Colors: Ideal for achieving that beautiful stained glass look! It blends seamlessly and can be easily adjusted from soft ruby tones to deep, dramatic reds depending on usage. Pairs beautifully with other transparent colors for intricate, light-catching designs that really stand out. A must-have for anyone creating vibrant, artistic soaps with a clean, professional finish."

Lovely colors!

"I used this in my foaming hand soap and it made a lovely rich red! I had to use quite a bit though (a third to half the bottle)! I also think it would make a nice pink if you used a lot less!"

makes a lovely pink in foaming bath whip

"this color was included in the tub paints kit, and its really pretty in white bases. i used 5 drops in approximately 6oz of a white base, and i ended up with a very nice pinkish color. it wasnt pepto bismol pink, more like a strawberry milkshake. i havent tried it out in a clear base yet but i plan to soon. if youre looking to make a pink color, this is the dye you want to try first."

Beautifully Colored

"I colored my dead sea salts with this colorant to add to my ultra white MP base, and it gave remarkable results. The color bled slightly into the hot MP but it turned the soaps a lovely color!! My clients love it!! I don't have to do anything special, it works every time!!"

Q&A

Can I use 2-3 drops of red liquid color in my emulsified butter or cream ?
The Stained Glass colors are recommended for water-based products.
Can WSP's different stained glass colours be blended with each other to obtain different shades?
Yes, these colors are able to be blended to your liking.
I'd like to use these colorants in acetone additive (it's basically an additive containing vegetable glycerin that you add to acetone to help protect the nails). Would these be okay to use? Also, if carmine is used in a red colorant, would you list it in the ingredients? Thank you!
Although we have not tested this, these should be okay to use. You may need to do testing first with your own formula. Yes, FDA requires Carmine to be listed in the ingredients.
Do you plan to carry Stained glass colors that do not contain paraben? I love the colors but I am not sure I want to have paraben in my products. Thanks!
At this time, we find this is the best preservative to use for this product. The amount of parabens in this product are between 0.1-0.3%. If using just a few drops, this would be an extremely small amount.
Are you sure this is Red 40? Because Red 40 is an insoluble Lake. This might be Red 4 which is a water soluble dye.
Stained Glass Apple Red is Red 40 which is water soluble. Red 40 Lake, which is our Bath Bomb Red, is Red 40 which has been converted into a water-insoluble pigment that will not bleed in soap and cosmetics.
