The bottle it came in was nicely sealed with no leakage. "An awesome scent, with some odd quirks" | ||||||
| COMMENTS: When I first tried this FO out a few years ago, I opened the bottle (after it had been left on top of a warm radiator out of sheer laziness), and it smelled just like rich, warm honey. The slight bitter note was there, the floral notes... It was fantastic. So I went ahead and used it as the backbone for a honey and fire scent that I was working on, and swirled it into a lotion formula. It was amazing. But once the lotion had cooled, the honey faded. I was baffled. Thinking it was a kill batch, I dumped it onto a container for house use, and a couple days later, used a little bit. BOOM! There was the honey again. I went back and forth sniffing my hands, and then sniffing the jar. They were NOT the same scent. Which leads me to my conclusion- This scent will pop with heat. A cold product is going to hide the honey, but as soon as something heats the product up (whether it's a hot shower for a bar of soap, a warm body for a lotion, or a hot bath for a bath bomb), the honey scent will begin to shine through! I have now been using this FO for over 3 years, and without fail, people pick out that honey note when the product is warm, but only the smoke note when it is cold. It makes a really fun magic trick for the nose! :) | |||||||

When I opened the bottle I thought it was terrible, and immediately all of the reviews talking about a "funky" smell came flooding back. But because I really wanted it to be good, I continued to give it a chance...and I am SO HAPPY that I did . I used it is a body butter and it is AMAZING!!! It is a light, sweet and natural smell! HP Soap - pleasant natural honey scent that is perfect for customers who don't like very strong fo's. "Sexy Subtle Summer Honey" |
| COMMENTS: Before I line my lips, I'll dab a bit of this baby onto my lippies and massage it in. It leaves my lips super smooth. I've found that lip balms that are too waxy can be made smoother, more silky when this sensual summer honey is added. I also like the fact that when added to a whipped soap sugar scrub, it adds a subtle honey scent and makes the product more delectable to the skin during wash. I love it as a hair mist because it gives hair that shine and the scent is just perfect. Blending with this baby is sooooo super easy and there are so many possibilities.
