Would not buy again

"Strong floral, doesn’t really remind me of sunflower. Also riced terribly and accelerated. I can handle the acceleration, but the ricing was awful, I was able to blend most of it out, but that didn’t help to the acceleration issue. I think it’ll still be a good summer soap though, but would not buy again."

Smells like fresh picked flowers!

"Smells like fresh picked flowers!"

?????????? Ultra-Fresh and Cooling Scent

"This scent is extremely clean and refreshing. The cucumber is crisp and watery, while the mint adds a cooling freshness without being too strong. Excellent for soaps, body washes, and spa-style products. Smells light, modern, and very refreshing."

Smells too sweet like bubble gum

"I was very excited to try this scent as I love the scent of bergamot oil, especially the citrus notes in it. But I couldn't find them as much. The initial scent is very sweet like bubble gum and I struggled to find the bergamot in there. But others who tried the body butter and sugar scrub I made with this loved the smell. The smell was light and thankfully didn't linger too long on my skin."

Stunning.

"Great scent, strong retention in coco-soy candles. Great HT and CT. This is a little too floral for my personal tastes, but my customers like it."

Elisha (5/5)

Very Floral

"I wouldn't say Sunflowers as much as just strong florals. This also accelerated very quickly. Like so fast I couldn't mess with the top of the soap!"

Absolutely horrible. . . . . . . . . .

"I cannot believe how bad this fragrance is. I have smelled other Sunflower type fragrance oils and none of them smelled like this mess. I can't even describe it. As close as I can tell, it is more like a geranium or something equally stinky. I am SO disappointed and wish I hadn't wasted my money on 4 oz of this :("

Hesitant to use but really glad I did!

"After reading the reviews on this FO, I was definitely hesitant to try it in my CP soap but I really wanted to make a sunflower designed soap. I planned for the batter to accelerate quite a bit and made the center part of the sunflower first using a cylinder mold. My recipe consisted of coconut, olive, sunflower, palm & castor oils and I soaped between 80-85 degrees. To my surprise, the batter stayed in a light to medium trace and poured perfectly. For my sunflower layer I used two colors and did an ITP swirl and again, the batter behaved very well with plenty of time to pour. I used a scraper to form the sunflower design and was again surprised that it didn't accelerate past the point of being able to scrape the design. My last layer was one color but I had the same results. . . a great smelling scent that behaved well. I'm not sure if this was reformulated recently, but am thankful that my experience was not like what I had read about!"

Riced

"Only used this because my original sunflower scent was out of stock at different supplier. I had plans to do some fun piping on it for my fall line & it riced so badly after adding it was hard to get in the mold, much less pipe anything fancy. Overall scent is okay, but I will just plan better and get the other one that I really like better."

Too tricky to work with.

"I love this scent but wouldn't buy it again. Riced and accelerated terribly in CP. I read the reviews that said you could stick blend it out. I thought sure, I'll do that, I'm making layers anyway. Nope. I soaped around 90', 33% lye, initially brought the batter to thin trace, then mixed my micas in, then FO. It accelerated so badly my stick blender wouldn't even do anything to the lumps. I can't fathom how any of these other soapers were able to work with this."

Q&A

Is this fragrance oil all natural
This fragrance is not all natural. Our 100% natural fragrances have a callout in their name (i.e., Argan & Raw Shea - Natural Fragrance Oil 849.)
Does this smell like the Sunflower FO that Brambleberry used to carry? They discontinued theirs and I'm looking for a spot-on replacement.
We are not sure what their fragrance oil smelled like so can't comment on whether they are comparable. Ours is comparable to Yankee Candle.
If you could describe this fragrance what would you say the notes are ?
This is a very nice floral scent. There are really no distinct notes that you can pick out. Just like smelling a field of sunflowers.
Looking over the Safety Data Sheet and I'm really confused about what the label must include if using this fragrance. I need some guidance please. Tks.
The only thing required to place in your ingredient listing would be "fragrance". If using the same name, you must say "Compare our fragrance to Yankee Candle". The SDS is for you to keep in your work area in case the fragrance should accidentally get into eyes, be ingested, etc.
Is this the same Frgrance oil type as the Sunflowers and Sunshine that was sold here ages ago (about 5-6 yrs I think)? I don't see it anymore, but I had a bottle well into the back of my FO cabinet for a long time.
This is a different fragrance formula.
