Reviews

Confused honestly. . .

"I'm really confused. . . could I have been given the wrong product? This TD is supposed to be for oil. . . and I have ALWAYS premixed my TD for oil, in a light oil, and had it ready to use in a squeeze bottle. I combined this TD in oil, using my same 1:3 ratio, and it literally separates after mixing thoroughly. Like vinegar and water, you can see the separation in the bottle after just an hour of it sitting. It will not mix with the oil, at all. I'm giving it an ""average"" rating because it mixed with hot water just fine. . . I think this must be a mislabeled batch?? Makes me hesitant to know which one to purchase now because I don't mix TD in my lye solution."

Jennifer (5/5)

Great!!

"I use white in almost all my soaps, I like the brightness that it gives my bars, even when I use colors, I still add white to brighten it up!"

Dawn (5/5)

Perfect

"I like adding to the oils before the lye for soap, but have also mixed after trace with oil and have had no problems at all with either. I add it to my calendula infused oil soap to make a beautiful solid yellow."

Dianne (5/5)

Great !

"I love mixing this with my oils before adding my lye super easy and wonderful!!"

Julia (5/5)

Nice, but why the name change?

"I use this for cold process soaps when I want them whiter. . . I'd change the name back [to titanium dioxide]. . . just my opinion. . . . but. . . IN CONCLUSION- WORKS GREAT!"

Sheryl (5/5)

Newbie at soap

"It mixed very easily into olive oil, I got the white I wanted in my cp soap, WONDERFUL product. Thank you!"

Q&A

Can Titanium Dioxide power be added to a white mica to give a more opaque less sparkly white powder?
Depending on your application you can use this separately. For more detailed information we recommend calling in to our product specialist to discuss your specific receipe and use.
How much titanium dioxide would I need to add to my lip balm, (I would add to 1lb of base) to make it equal to an spf 15? I know I can't claim it is a sunscreen but I would say it has natural sun protection. I can't remember what I used to do when I did this many years ago.
This is something we cannot recommend, sorry.
Can I use glycerin instead of water or oil when mixing TD? I have TD for oils, wanting to make a hot process soap with two different color whites. Is it better to mix into hot, warm or cold batter?
We recommend mixing the Titanium Dioxide into your oils not glycerin, after your oils have been mixed. Temperature does not matter much, but warmer may be easier to mix in.
Can I use this in Melt & pour base? Can I use the one for water?
We recommend using the Titanium Dioxide Pigment Powder - For Water for Melt & Pour soap.
Which one do I have to use CP soap among titanium dioxide powder for oil or water?
You can use Titanium Dioxide for Oil in CP soap.
