"What a mess...DO NOT USE IN CP"

COMMENTS: Although those smells amazing...it rice and separated so quickly and intensely that all that was left behind was a chunky mess. It suggested a max usage rate of 18% and I usually use far less and soaped at 4% . If you are like me and think all the other people saying not to use in cold process used too much fo. Please learn from all our mistakes and stay clear of this fragrance.

"Behaves badly!"

COMMENTS: This FO smells wonderful but it's not cut out for cp soap. It riced but I was able to blend it out but there was no pouring into the mold instead it was hardening up before I could pound it down in and try to smooth it out. Overnight it separated, leaving oily puddles on top. Too bad as it smells great!

"DO NOT USE IN COLD - PROCESS"

COMMENTS: If I can stop one person from wasting their precious oils, money and time on this fragrance I will have done my duty to fellow soapers. Yes, it does say it may accelerate but they should have said, "your batter will turn into a rock the very instant it touches this fragrance." The money for the fragrance and a whole batch of butters and oils all wasted. It smelled nice in the bottle but not worth the loss.

"PLEASANT SURPRISE"

COMMENTS: I made some a horse head soap using this FO for favors at a Rodeo Party for the children but the men kept asking if they could have one! The lady that brought the horses ordered some for her clients. I didn't expect it to smell this good - but it does!

COMMENTS: The smell is great. I added it to soap batter and it seized. I ended up shredding it and using it in another batch and smells wonderful.

WSP Response:

We had mild ricing when making cp soap and have that as a note on the website. Perhaps try altering your soap temps or the percentage of hard butters in your formula. It is a wonderful scent that is a great seller for men.

"Urban Cowboy Fragrance Oil"

COMMENTS: OMG, I have used this many times before and never had a problem. Today I making CPOP soaps for the Holidays. What a waste of my time and all the oils not to mention the fragrance I lost. Didn't have a rising problem but before I could get the mica(mixed in oil) into the batch it instantly seized, I mean instantly, hard a a rock. WSP, I don't know what you've done to this but something has changed.I really wish you'd tell us how it performs in CP, i.e..rising, acceleration, discoloration etc..... WHAT A WASTE OF A LOT OF MONEY I JUST THREW AWAY!! SO DISAPPOINTED WSP.

"Very disappointing "

COMMENTS: This smells great oob. I make parasoy melts only and this sounded so good. I waited a week after making to melt one and could not smell it at all. Now a month later I tried another one and the scent was within 2 feet of my large warmer in the kitchen but faint. I made 2 full lbs of this because usually anything from WSP is a winner. That said, I do believe that this would be great in shaving soaps, perfumes or bath products.

"One Siezing Son of a Gun!"

COMMENTS: OK, so let me just say "shame on me" for not reading the reviews other than how wonderful it smells. it's true the scent of this is fantastic. And as a season super, when it seized and gave me soap on a stick immediately I knew what to do. that being said, I would not recommend this to beginner soapers because it will drive you insane and it will panic you. (unless of course you do HP soap in which case you'll have no trouble at all and probably get a really good selling scent) I am giving this a four star rating for the moment, but if it sells as well as everyone seems indicate I will probably come back and change that to a five star. However, sober beware, this is a difficult scent. to work with and cold process soap!

COMMENTS: This fragrance is a best-seller for me in HP. I use a higher water recipe and am able to get some decent swirls and designs - nothing extremely delicate or fancy for this one! It also sells well in my pet products - MP soap/shampoo bars, liquid shampoo, room/fabric spray and coat spritz.

"Not Meant for Soap"

COMMENTS: How can a fragrance that smells so good be so evil????? This was instant ricing and acceleration. I barely got it in the mold. I had to push and bang the crap out of this. "Nice addition!"

COMMENTS: I read reviews like a mad woman before buying, but I got this as a sample, & we made some lotion with it, after noting that it would rice or seize in CP soap. Well....the lotions sold like crazy, & the requests for soap were through the roof! I broke down & did a M/P soap. It sold out, which amazed me, as I don't offer many M/P soaps, prefer CP bars. Anyway, back for more, & am planning a CP soap now, with very slow moving recipe. It has to be later, too busy now to take the time to make sure we are super cool w/our temps, super fast once this FO is added, & calm enough to deal with seizing or ricing, if it happens. I've got my fingers crossed this "bad boy" can be handled with extra care.

COMMENTS: I read all the problems with the FO hardening up in seconds so I keep my oils and lye at 80 degrees and mixed a little oil mixture into the straight FO before adding to the traced mix and it gave me 2-3 min of time to swirl before it seized I love this scent and glad it is workable Try it!!

"The scent is the best but don't make CP with this"

COMMENTS: It is my favorite man scent hands down! ! It is the only scent that my husband and I both agree on. FANTASTIC. The bad part-- I was thoroughly warned by the previous reviews that this fragrance excellerates, so I was prepared to move quickly. I slowly stirred while pouring it in, but it instantly made little bricks of soap in my batter. I stick blended it to bring it together but then it riced. I kept blending to bring it together as much as possible until the rice began to stiffen too much. I plopped it all into my mold. Within a couple of minutes the soap wa hard and oil started to separate to the top of each compartment (silicon mold with multiple cavities). The soap looked horrible, but I wasn't too bothered at that point because the most important element here is the amazing scent. Fast forward a week, I went to sniff my amazing cowboy soap only to find that it had very little scent. Moreover, the scent that was left did not resemble the OOB very much. Despite my disappointment, I am still rating this one highly because it smells so darn good. Just don't waste your time trying to make CP soap.

"amazing! but be prepared to work fast"

COMMENTS: I loved this right out of the bottle, and when I read the reviews, I thought I was prepared to move fast! I had oils and lye down to almost 78 degrees and it still traced quickly. I think due to the fact that I had a heads up that it would move fast, I may not have used enough in my first batch of soap so I'm going to try it again. It's amazing in body spray and body butters and lotions. Men and women alike really enjoy the fragrance. I call it Shemar and it it already almost totally pre-sold out despite the fact that it's not even ready due to curing times. A GREAT Fragrance,

"You'd better have wings if used in Cold Process!!"

COMMENTS: love, Love, LOVE this fragrance but when I read move quickly I didn't expect that I would have to wear wings on my shoes like Hermes the Greek God! When it seized I chunked it out into my loaf mold and waited for gel phase to hit then smoothed it out as best I could with a silicone spatula. 2nd attempt made the lye 76 degrees to 98 degrees oil, adding color and any super fatted oil at that time, blending for about 20-30 seconds with hand mixer, then adding fragrance...stirred vigorously by hand for about 15 strokes and poured. Still is was a close call but did make a smooth transition.

COMMENTS: This scent is amazing! If you are making CP soap, be ready to work extremely fast because this FO seizes. I tried adding just one color before pouring & it immediately seized on me. I had to scoop it all out by hand & smash it into my log mold. It was not pretty but I refused to throw it all away because it smelled so good! Next time the FO will be added & immediately poured!

COMMENTS: Love this fragrance! A gorgeous MAN smell! But it was a wild ride! Urban Cowboy caused acceleration as soon as I hand whisked it into my prepped batter. It seized and I thought the ride was over! I couldn't even hand mix it anymore, so I left it sitting in the containers...un-poured and thought I would have to re-batch it later. I then worked on the other half of my batter in which I hand whisked in a different FO. It went slow and smooth. So I know it was not my batter. But to my astonishment, the urban cowboy batter had heated up so much sitting there that it re-melted? itself to the point that we could again hand mix and then pour it into my upright vertical mold and twist the center with no problems!! I couldn't believe it! It turned out perfect! I sold one bar to a man who then came back and bought them all!

COMMENTS: This scent is FANTASTIC smelling, like a handsome man in a black Stetson in Wyoming on a horse.... it muted a lot in my cold process soap. It's still there-so it'll be interesting to see how it does in the shower. It was VERY strong in the bottle, but perhaps I like that it's not as strong through the bar. Not stinky like a lot of "manly" scents- not heavy cologne. It's actually very unique, not "green" smelling but very masculine. Really dig this one.

"Amazing scent"

COMMENTS: I absolute adore this scent and would love to create an entire line of Men's products using this scent alone. BUT in my cold process soap it SERIOUSLY accelerates trace. I used only half the recommended 3 percent, and my soap went from soup to solid in about 20 seconds. If I can't reformulate the soap I want to use it in to slow down some, I won't be able to use it in soap. Works great for lotion and deodorant, though!

"Whatta Man!"

COMMENTS: Pardon my honesty, but holy smokes if a man walked past me wearing this fragrance, I'd take him home! This is like a man in a bottle. It is the perfect fragrance for body oils, body creams, shower gels , MP soap and lotions. I cannot however recommend it for CP soap. When I added at trace, it immediately seized in the pot and jumped to over 200 degrees. BUT despite that, I WILL buy it again and use it in different formulations. It's just too perfect for mens products not to use.
