Stabilizer in CP soap

"It’s okay. Has a very pungent odor. Does help with some colors from turning completely brown."

Carrie O. (3/5)

a much needed additive

"this completely ended my struggle with color-changing cp soaps. bye bye brown!"

Works Like a Charm

"I use this product in my bath bombs where I use a fragrance with any vanilla content. I used the one for M & P Soap but it definitely did not work. Talked with a rep at WSP who steered me in the direction of this product and believe me, it works like a charm. So many things to learn but thank you WSP for being there to answer our questions."

Nancy (5/5)

Works well in cold process soap

"I have used this stabilizer in making my coffee soap and vanilla fig soap. It is easy to work with. It really has to mixed in well with the soap."

Penny (5/5)

Works excellent

"I use it with any fragrance oils that have a vanilla content so it won't turn brown. Works perfectly"

Terri (5/5)

So far so good!

"I was extremely scared to use this because it seemed like so many people where having a hard time with it. But I kept reading the comments and responses from the company and bit the Bullet. I'm unsure how long I should wait for results, but here are my thoughts. I made my soap on 1/15/23, let it it in my loaf until 1/18/23 and cut into bars that morning. It's curing now. I assume discoloration should occur quickly like before I unmolded it. But nope. My babies are perfect so far. ??. Definitely a staple because the majority of my FO contains vanillin."

Rachel (5/5)

Works great!

"I've always been one to avoid fragrance oils that have vanillin in them, especially ones with 2% or higher. My customers HATE brown soaps, and they do not sell at all. I have some specific fragrance oils that I really wanted to use that contained vanilla, so I thought I would give this product a try. I've used this product in 3 batches over the last few months, and I think I am hooked. I mixed the product at the proper rate in my fragrance oil blends, mixed it up, and let it sit for 2 minutes. Despite it looking somewhat separated when I mixed the fragrance oil into the soap batter, it worked like a dream! I will continue to buy this product and I highly recommend it!"

Cassidy (5/5)

Helps a lot

"I have used this frequently for cps to avoid turning darker with vanilla in FO. It seems to help quite a bit. I always have this on hand."

Q&A

Can your vanilla color stabilizer be used in candles?
This VCS is only for use in Cold Process Soap and Bath Fizzies. Because vanilla doesn't affect candles the same way it does soap, you can try a UV inhibitor in your candles to prevent discoloration.
I see that when making bath bombs and bath fizzies you use CP color stabilizer. Is this the same for bubble bars? Or do I use the lotion and wash stabilizer?
Hi , Yes you can use VCS-CP SOAP for a bubble bar.
Do I use this stabilizer for body scrubs?
we recommend Crafters Choice™ Vanilla Color Stabilizer - Lotions - Washes
If I were adding a high vanillin FO to a liquid Castille base (true soap, already saponified), would this be an okay stabilizer to use?
We have not tested this in castile soap, but we believe Vanilla Color Stabilizer - Lotions & Washes would be the better stabilizer option.
Could you tell me if the vanilla stabilizer contains a preservative please?
The Vanilla Color Stabilizer does not have a preservative.
