"It smells like a crispy apple however it smells like chemical in the bottle. But when using it in the M&P soap, it smells ok. I purchased several different fruit scents and they all smelled like chemical. Watermelon, melon, green apple, pear. Used in M&P they smelled good though, very fruity!"

A must-have basic!

"I am a huge vanilla lover and I have to admit that, even though I appreciate a nice buttery caramel kind of vanilla, a soft floral heliotrope-like vanilla or a very clean powdery kind of vanilla, I have always been looking for a really nice, but neutral version of this beautiful fragrance. And after trying this fragrance oil, I was finally satisfied. This vanilla is creamy and soft yet not buttery or candy-like, it's sweet and strong yet not heady or overwhelming. To me, it smells like a very nude and simple vanilla, but it doesn't really smell like a bottle of vanilla extract, it has a little more depth, it feels smoother without smelling like cream. It doesn't really smell like a vanilla pod so I can't say that it smells natural, but although it smells synthetic, it doesn't feel wrong. My best description of it would be an idealized vanilla note designed especially for blending in perfumery. With that being said, I think that this is a great fragrance that everybody should at least try. I wouldn't use it by itself because I feel like it lacks character, but it's absolutely wonderful as a very versatile blender. My only regret with this one is that I accidentally spilled about a third of the bottle on the floor and it was a pain to clean afterwards."

I am using this for M&P but I can also use for soy wax candles correct?
Hello - all information for usage can be foudn on the IFRA sheet. Category 12 is candles, usage rate is 100%.
Why can I not get this fragrance to come up on your fragrance calculator?
Try typing in 121. When I try that, it comes up at the very bottom of the list.
Does this vanilla FO discolor a white Melt & Pour base?
This fragrance oil contains 6% vanilla and will discolor both a white and clear soap base.
Has anyone used this in lotions? i have a customer who would like vanilla scented lotion, but i'm wondering how much it would turn.
The Vanilla Fragrance Oil will gradually darken overtime without a Vanilla Color Stabilizer. It depends on your formula. We recommend making a small batch to test.
How many drops should I use in melt & pour soap, 1lb?
We recommend 0.50 oz. of fragrance oil per pound of melt & pour soap. For a lighter scent, use less.
