Great base for my lip oils

"Great base and holds all the oils, scent and coloring well for my lip oils. Does not wash off tools well though."

Absolutely terrible to work with!

"I was so excited to try this gel to make lip gloss but it was absolutely terrible to work with! It took almost 15 minutes to get the gel to 151 degrees but I just could not get it to 160 degrees no matter what I did. It was extremely sticky and did not liquify at all. I put 15 drops of lip safe color in it anyway to see how it would look and it was pretty in the beaker but when I tried some, no color transfered to my lips. It was just clear gloss. Because it was so thick, I couldn't get it in the gloss tubes at all. Trying to clean up afterwards was an ordeal. Whatever this stuff is made of, it took several minutes of washing with Dawn PowerWash to get the gel off of my utensils. I threw the rest of the Versagel away. I will not purchase this again."

The best!

"I have a growing lip gloss business and this is the best Versagel that I have used and now will not use any other brand. I add three oils, flavor oil, and mica powder. My glosses are moisturizing, have high shine, are not sticky and taste great! @PeaceLoveJoy434"

Brittani (5/5)

Speechless

"I was very impress I like this brand better then the very popular one that everyone is using. There was no separation from the color or glitter that I would add in my lip glosses that was the biggest problem I was having. I just became a loyal fan and I'm loving this product."

Ramunda (5/5)

Amazing first try

"This gloss base is a lot better than I thought. I felt like it wouldn't mix well with oils but it was absolutely perfect. I'll definitely gonna buy more. (Oils: Coconut, castor, and sunflower)"

Faith (5/5)

Amazing

"This stuff is amazing. I just started making lip gloss and I was skeptical about this because it is sticky and messy, however once I mixed in mct oil the consistency is wonderful. Will be buying more."

Christine (5/5)

Best lip Product

"What can I say I purchased the kit and the gel was in it all I had to do was mix. Love it."

Q&A

How would I make the glitters I add not separate. I use biodegradable glitter.
When adding glitter to this base it should not separate
I would like to use therapeutic grade essential oil instead of flavor oil, like lavender. However, I noticed bitterness in the flavor. Can a small amount of powdered sugar, stevia, or monkfruit powder be safely added to this when the castor oil is added? Will it mold? What problems do you foresee by adding sugar or sweetener? Thank you!
A sweetener can be added. Lip Smacking Sweetener Oil or Rustic Escentuals Sweetener are available on the website.
Will thinning it out with oil, like castor, make it less sticky feeling?
You will need to test this on your own.
Can you use this base to make a liquid matte lipstick or gloss
The primary use of Versagel is making lip gloss. You can find recipes on the product page which is accessed by clicking on the name of the product on our website.
Can I add glycerin to versagel and if so do I need heat the versagel before adding it?
In order to add oils, you need to warm the versagel to 160 degrees F. We have not tried adding glycerin; you will need to test this on your own.
