- Is Kaolin clay the best ingredient to add to MP to make it set up harder? If so how much per pound of MP.
- You can also use stearic acid to harden MP, If you are use kaolin clay i advise to start with a tablespoon and mix well. If you add to much clay it may sink to the bottom.
- can be white Kaolin clay be added with gemstone extracts and essential oils to bath salts? Are there instructions on how to do this?
- Thanks for reaching out! It may be better to use Dendritic Salt in place of the kaolin clay as the salts will dissolve more quickly in water. You would need to test the amount based on your recipe.
- Can I add essential oils to this clay in powder form and use it as a face mask? Or do I need to mix the essential oils in a carrier oil?
- It depends on the essential oils. Some EOs are calming for the skin and some are very irritating. Review the IFRA percentages on each essential oil and test your batch on the hand before trying on the face. For specific assistance with recipes please call in and speak with a product specialist.
- I have read through all of the questions and answers listed on this product. We are going to be using the Premium Goat Milk MP soap base with fragrance at 4%. I am wanting to know how much clay to add per pound of soap base? I have read anywhere from 1 teaspoon to 2 tablespoons. Can you please clarify how much is needed? Thank you!
- We recommend testing the following: Mix 1 teaspoon of kaolin clay with 1 tablespoon of 99% isopropyl alcohol.
