Apple Ice Wine CP Soap Recipe

Boil 16 oz. of wine to cook out the alcohol. Put in a pot on stove for 30 minutes at a slow boil. Set aside and chill.

Prepare lye solution. Pour 2 oz. of the chilled wine into a large plastic container. (Any leftover wine can be stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator or freezer.) Add Distilled Water and slowly stir in the lye. Continue stirring until lye is dissolved. The water will turn dark, almost black in color. Set aside and let cool.

Melt the Coconut Oil and Palm Oil in double boiler or microwave until melted.

Add Refined A Olive Oil and stir. Set aside.

Prepare the color. In a plastic cup add 1 tbsp. of Matte Woodland Green Pigment Powder, a few drops of distilled water and stir. This helps break down clumps when adding to the soap batter. Set aside.

When lye has cooled, pour lye into liquid oils and hand stir for a minute.

Add Crisp Apple Ice Wine Fragrance Oil.

Blend with small bursts using the stick blender and stir until it has emulsified to a light trace.

Pour half of the soap batter in the plastic cup with the green pigment powder and stir. Using the stick blender bring to a heavy trace.

Clean the stick blender and blend the uncolored half of the soap batter. Stick blend to a heavy trace.

Take a spoonful of green soap batter and place it in one spot on the right side of the mold. Then repeat with white, then green, then white and green one more time. On the left side do the opposite of what you did on the right side.

Repeat working on right side, but top with opposite color. White, green, white, green and white. Repeat left side again making sure to do opposite colors.

Gently tap the mold on the counter, this will help with air pockets.

Take a skewer and starting on the end stick it just through the top layer and make figure 8 motions on the top layer of soap. Top with Iridescent Super Sparkle Glitter.

Let sit for 24- 48 hours in mold.

Take soap out of mold and slice into bars. If you have trouble unmolding you can put the loaf in the freezer for 45 minutes to help pop out the loaf from the mold. Let cure 4-6 weeks.

Label product accordingly.
