Can this be used as a replacement for the Country Apple scent in the hand soap kit? If so, what amount?
Hello - you can test any fragrance in a recipe. You need to follow the IFRA Guidelines for the fragrance. Category 9 is the soap category. Guidelines for Cool Water For Men* - EO & FO Blend is a max usage rate of 31.7%. Please note we have not tested this fragrance in this recipe.
Can this blend be used for shower steamers?
Yes, it is safe for shower steamers at up to 31.70%, but you'll only want to use about 5% in your recipe.
The IFRA Maximum Skin Exposure Levels for soaping is listed as 20%. When I use your fragrance calculator for my cold press soap, it is showing a recommended usage of 6% for the total amount of product which is 2.52 ozs. for Cool Waters. Oils plus water is 42 ounces.Is the 20% allowance the maximum fragrance I can use for my cold press soaps?
The "Maximum Use Level for Skin Exposure" is the amount of fragrance oil that can come in contact with the skin. It does not mean that your base product can perform at these levels. Our fragrance calculator takes IFRA levels and recommended usage levels for a specific application into consideration.
