Galaxy Melt and Pour Soap Recipe

Prepare your colors. You will need two small mixing bowls. To one bowl, add 1 teaspoon of the White Diamonds Super Sparkle Mica and one tablespoon of the glycerin. Stir. To the second bowl, add 1 teaspoon of the Purple Galaxy Mica and one tablespoon of the glycerin. Stir. We are mixing them in glycerin to prevent clumping and make it easier to mix. Set these aside, for now.

Cut 7.4 oz of the Goat Milk Melt and Pour Soap into small pieces. Add it to your mixing bowl. Melt it in the microwave in 30-second bursts. Melt the soap only until it is in fluid state.

To the bowl, add 0.22 oz of the Beneath the Stars Fragrance Oil and about 1 teaspoon of the White Diamond Super Sparkle Mica mixture. Stir.

Make sure that the edges of your column mold are completely sealed. Pour the melted soap base into the column mold and allow to set up before unmolding.

Prepare the purple soap. Weigh out and melt 36.6 oz of the clear soap base.

Once your soap is melted, add 1 oz of the Beneath the Stars Fragrance Oil, the remaining white mica mixture, and the purple mica mixture. Stir.

Fill your mold about 1/3 full. Spray the soap with alcohol to remove any air bubbles. Allow it to completely set up before moving on.

Once the soap has set up, place the star column on top of the purple soap. Where you place it is up to you. We placed ours on the left side of our loaf.

Once you are happy with the placement of your star, remelt your purple soap. Spray your previous layer with alcohol. This will help the layers adhere to each other. Finish filling the mold with the remaining purple soap.

Once the soap has completely set up, remove it from the mold. Use the mitre box and soap cutter to cut the soap into 1 inch bars. Wrap the soap imediately.
