This is a really good kit

"I would have given this 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that it's so hard to get the soap into the bottles. The opening on the bottles is maybe the size of a dime. The soap doesn't pour. . . it kind of glops and makes a huge mess. I used a funnel but in order for the funnel to fit into the opening it has to be smaller than the opening so needless to say, it took forever to fill these 16 bottles. . . I'm talking over an hour. I think next time I will use a frosting bag with a tip on it. But as far as the soap itself, I would give it a 5 star rating. The smell is incredible and it's very easy to make. It makes a wonderful shower gel and the scent stays on your skin. I really love the finished product. I will probably buy this again and try using a frosting bag. But love this product!!!"

Q&A

Is the recipe for this kit correct? The ingredient list has double the amount of what the directions say. If you follow all the instructions, it tells you that you'll end up with about 15 bottles. I doubled the batch since I wanted to make more 24-30 bottles and used the entire gallon of liquid suspension, and still ended up with 15 bottles. I'm confused if the rest of the ingredients (measurements) are correct. I doubled everything that the instructions said to do, and although the finished outcome is nice and creamy, the scent has been taken over by the vanilla stabilizer, making it smell very chemical. I'm not sure if I'm going to have to dispose of the entire batch. I'm waiting to see if maybe the chemical smell vaporizes or something. I just want to make sure that the entire recipe that is posted is completely correct.: Hi, the instructions are correct -- you will repeat the process to make the entire recipe.

What is the shelf life of this product when made?: We recommend 1 year after making. After that, you can test the product to see if it looks, smells & performs the same.
Can I add extracts to this recipe? whether powdered or water base: You can add a small amount of extracts to this recipe, but additional preservative may be required. We would recommend only adding a small amount -around 0.5%.
Could the goat milk powder be substituted for Buttermilk?: Yes, this would make a fine substitution.
