Fill tube to top with melted product such as a lip balm recipe or lotion bar recipe. Allow to solidify then twist on cap. To use, twist off cap and twist the bottom up to bring product upwards. "These are great for deodorant samples and lotion bars. They actually do hold over an ounce of product. I know different products weight different from one another. I weight my deodorant out before hand and these hold approximately 1. 7 oz of weight. I was surprised I was able to fit that much in. I guess it depends on what you are using it for. Deodorant is dense due to the beeswax, baking soda and oils/butters that are used. I highly recommend these for deodorant samples or mini deodorants. They are perfect for traveling and camping."
