Recipe Ingredients:

Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• 128 oz. Goat Milk & Honey Lotion
• 1.80 oz. Mayan Gold - EO & FO Blend 347
• 1 oz. Vanilla Color Stabilizer - Lotions - Washes
• 5 Drop(s) Stained Glass Sunflower Orange Liquid Color

Equipment From Home:

• (1) Large Mixing Bowl (64 oz.)
• (1) Spatula
• (1) Mixing Spoon
• (1) Scale - Digital Display

Recipe Disclaimer:

Directions:

NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.

Scoop out half of the lotion and put into mixing bowl.
Combine Fragrance Oil and Stabilizer in beaker and mix well. Allow to sit for 2 minutes.
Add fragrance mixture to lotion bucket and stir until combined. Add Sunflower Orange Liquid and stir well.
Add unscented lotion back into the bucket, a little at a time, continue stirring until all the lotion is blended together.
Fill twelve 8 oz. jars to 8 oz. by weight, six 4 oz. jars to 4 oz. by weight and four 2 oz. jars to 2 oz. by weight. Any remaining product can be divided equally among the jars.
Label product accordingly.

To Use: Massage onto skin as often as needed.

"Hi! I want to change the FO in this recipe to one with a much higher vanilla content (a couple of FOs I am thinking of are between 8.50 and 9.50%), but everything else would stay the same. "I used this recipe (and the kit) last night. When I added 5 drops of Stained Glass Sunflower Orange Liquid Color, per the recipe, there was not much color, so I added 10 more drops (for a total of 15 drops), giving it a pale peach color. This morning, all the lotion is white, not peach. Is there something wrong with the Stained Glass Sunflower Orange Liquid Color or should I put more than 15 drops in to give the lotion color?"

Staff Answer You will need to follow the IFRA guideline for the fragrance oil you are using. 1%-3% is generally what we add, which equates to 4.5 ml to 14 ml. I have attached a Percentage Conversion Chart link for your convenience. Sometimes heating helps better incorporate the fragrance, but make sure it isn't overheated as this can render the preservative inactive. Chart

Goat Milk & Honey Lotion Kit
