Classic mixture of almond and warm honey notes.

Cold Process Soap Test Results:

We test fragrances with the recipe of 50% olive oil, 20% sunflower oil,
15% coconut 76, 10% shea butter, 5% castor. No water discount.

"Very possibly a silly question, but how do you recommend calculating an effective IFRA maximum for a blend of fragrances? My assumption is that one can’t use each fragrance up to its individual maximum, but the math doesn’t seem to work at simply taking the average as the effective combined max. "

I use a parafin soy blend and I add my fragrance around 185 degrees. Much cooler and the fragrance may not blend in completely and it will settle at the bottom of your wax.

you should always add fragrance oils when the wax is around 180 to 185 degrees, nothing higher than that though.

Depending on if you are using soy or paraffin, add your F/O after you have melted your wax and additives, around 10 degrees above the recommended pour temperature, as adding your fragrance oil will drop the overall temp.

JUST BEFORE you pour the wax, add the FO. BUT-if you are using one batch of wax to make different scents of candles- Pour the wax, and THEN add the FO. Either way, it turns out good (in my experience).

You can add it before you pour or around 180-185 degrees. It all depends on what's best for your wax. Be careful of the flashpoint, though because you may need to adjust the time you add the oil.

In my soy wax candles I add fragrance in right before I pour my wax. I also make sure the wax is not too hot. Each Fragrance Oil has its own maximum heat warning.

Staff Answer The FDA indicates that the word "fragrance" is to be used in the ingredient label declaration to represent the addition of a fragrance oil to a product. If the fragrance is also used to flavor a product then the terms "flavor and fragrance" should be used on the label. If an oil is being used to only flavor the product then then term "flavor" is to be used on the label.

I always just list "fragrance oil" and then add the supplier. That way if someone questions ethical business practice, etc. they can go see who the supplier of my FO is.

You just have to have "Fragrance" on the label, something with the FDA makes it so that you don't have to do anything else.

"fragrance that sticks in cold process soap"

COMMENTS: This fragrance has a strong almond scent, and my customers love it. The fragrance sticks. I have soap that is 1 year old and still has the fresh scent in it. It behaves well in cold process soap. I plan my design around the tan color it cures to.

"Rancid Smell"

COMMENTS: I had high hopes for this fragrance due to the reviews. I tried this one on several different recipes to give it a fair change, but it has the smell of an old cake or pastry that has gone rancid, similar to a stale vanilla. The Honey Almond has the same smell as the Almond Honey. I've tried both.

"Smells delish!"

COMMENTS: I dove in and made a 6 lb batch of CP with this. What a great FO! No acceleration, in fact moved slow in my tallow recipe. I didn't do colors just added some exfoliant. The soap turned out a pretty tan color that is a perfect match for the scent. It's on day 4 of it's curing and the scent remains strong so far. I will definitely order again.

"I love this scent!"

COMMENTS: This fragrance is the second honey almond scent I have tried. The first one at a different company didn’t smell very sweet like honey, but I can definitely smell both the honey and the almond in my cold process soap. It did not rice or accelerate trace, which was nice. I will definitely buy this again. I use it for my family but I do have a few friends and family that have requested to try this soap fragrance. Normally no one asks to try any so I’m pretty impressed with this scent. It smells good enough to eat!

COMMENTS: I purchased this fragrance to be mostly used in body butters and body wash, the scent works well in all applications. I will only need a little a few drops in your application to give off a great smell but if you want it a little stronger you can add a little more. The fragrance comes through in any application and has staying power. The scent is a perfect merry of Honey and Almond, I love the scent of honey so this oil was perfect for me. I would definitely recommend this scent, especially if you are going to use it in soaps and candles, you will get the true scent and customers will love it.

"Beautiful, soothing scent"

COMMENTS: This is a gorgeous, calming scent. It's creamy and mellow with notes of sweet almond. I loved using this in Melt & Pour bars colored with cocoa powder for an extra indulgent fragrance. I used this with Crafter's Choice Detergent Free white soap base and Crafter's Choice Honey soap base. It smells wonderful in lotion too and creates a lasting aroma on the skin.

COMMENTS: Not sure if I did something wrong, but my recipe turned out to have tiny honey colored speckles suspended throughout my soap. I have made this recipe before without the FO and have not had this happen. Disappointed. Tested temp. of soap before adding and used slightly less than recommended usage rate. Wondering if the FO suspended to the honey I added after trace. Has anyone else had this happen?

COMMENTS: I used this scent in whipped body butters, hard lotion bars, and CP soap. It smells good in all 3, but was a little too light for me in CP soap. My recipe accelerated a little, but that could have been from the honey I added to the soap batter. I also had discoloration in my soap, once again due to the honey I added. This is an all around great scent. I will reorder, it's just a tad too light in CP for my personal taste.

I just got my bottle, and can't wait to soap with it tomorrow. I opened the bottle and thought I had found the promised land. I think this will make a really nice Oatmeal, Honey, and milk soap. I love WSP fragrance oils, nobody can do me like WSP when it comes to fragrance oils, so I have to tell you, you need come closer to your computer screen and sniff this lovely, Almond and Honey, wait, you can't smell it, that means, you got to go out and buy your own paradise in a bottle, you can't have mine. hehehehe!!! I am so enjoying this smell. "Cherry smelling!"

COMMENTS: I loved this scent right from the bottle. To me it smells almost like cherries. But that's why I liked this scent. But the only problem, when I used it in my soy wax tarts, it didn't smell too good at all. Maybe heat kills the good scent of it. I will try it in a lotion and see if it does better. Or a room or body spray that doesn't require heating up.

COMMENTS: I used this in my Tres Leches soap and it is amazing! I gave my boyfriend a sample to try (silly boy put it on a shelf and forgot where). "Lovely scent, not too overwhelming on the almond"

COMMENTS: This as a very nice alternative to the other almond and honey scents I've tried. In those, the almond is a little overwhelming and smells almost exactly like the cooking extract. That's not exactly fragrant after a while. It kind of makes you nauseated. This one has a softness to it that was lacking in the others. Used in cold process soap, I did not detect an immediate change in color, and it did not accelerate trace, which allowed me to play with color. Very nice. Thanks again, WSP!
