Q&A

Hi can you add essential oils and carrier oils to this gel?
Because the aloe vera gel is water-based, you will need to also add Polysorbate 20 if adding oils.
Can this be used as a base for intimate lubricant?
We don't recommend using this product in that application due to the potential for irritation. This Aloe Vera Gel contains additives and is for external use only.
If I add essential oils to this, do I also need to add an emulsifier? If so, what do you suggest? THANK YOU!
It is recommended to add Polysorbate 20 when adding fragrance oil to a water based base.
If I add pumpkin purée to this would I need another preservative? And would could I use to thicken this ?
I do not advise for you to add pumpkin puree to this base.
Can this be used as a base for hair gel if so what can be added to it to keep the thick texture ?
While you will definitely need to test this, you could try thickening with Xanthan gum which is a natural thickener: https://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/products/xanthan-gum.aspx
