Makes Luscious CP Soap

"I really love my CP soap that has aloe vera powder in it! I cannot remember the concentration I've used. . . maybe . 5 oz per 50 oz batch of soap???? It makes my skin feel so moisturized. I think it also adds to the lather of the soap, but I don't know for certain if that's true. I wait for very light trace before adding the powder, but BEWARE, it does accelerate trace after that. It's worth it though!"

I have an Emulsified Body Butter recipe that calls for Aloe Vera Concentrate. Can I substitute Aloe Vera Powder 100x instead of the Aloe Vera Concentrate?: Yes, you can substitute aloe vera powder for aloe vera concentrate in a body butter recipe, but you might need to whip it in to fully incorporate it. Always test in small batches first.
What is the ratio for adding this to distilled water for an emulsified butter: You'll need to test this yourself. We don't have a recipe for making a butter with aloe vera powder.
Are the full medicinal properties of the plant retained in the powder form or is there decay in the dehydrating process?: The powder is more concentrated, so a little goes a long way compared to gel. We are unable to find any evidence of losing properties in the dehydrating process.
What is the ratio to make a gel?: This powder cannot be made into a gel. Aloe Vera Gel is made from fresh Aloe Vera leaves.
