Mold

"Great little mold. Wasn't sure about about using plastic molds since I usually use silicone, but these popped right after a bit of time in the freezer. The soap it makes is adorable."

Q&A

I am a beginner at this. Trying to make these beautiful baby soaps for my daughter's upcoming baby shower. I want to use the melt and pour method and add color and scent! How do I determine how much melt and pour soap to buy? I need to make about 50 of the soap - the baby feet in the heart shape mold. Thanks for your help. Oh, and how would I determine how much color to use to get a baby pink color? Thanks so much!
Each cavity holds 3.15 oz. of soap. To make 50 bars, you would need 157.5 oz. of soap. You can purchase a 10# block or 5-2# trays of soap, which will yield 160 oz. For color, look at any pink color bars which work well in soap. Red will also create a pink in white soap: http://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/soap-cosmetic-colorants/color-bars.aspx?FBK=&FBA=213&Sort=0. Fragrance is added at 2% or 9.5 ml (2 teaspoons) per pound of soap.
