"Behaved well, allowed a tiger stripe pour. Almost everyone who sniffs this one buys it! Not as harsh as straight pine, but a soft comforting evergreen forrest scent. This one goes into my year round line up!"

Q&A

What is the shelf life for this oil?
Our oils are stocked to ensure that all fragrance oils are good for at least two years from the date of purchase. We recommend using in your product within a year so your final recipe has a one year shelf life.
Does this discolor? I see the vanillin content and description of discoloration to "light tan" but the test soap in the picture is a creamy off white?
Our color descriptions are subjective. The pictures are best to go off of for what to expect.
Can Balsam Cedar be used in a Beeswax Candle?If so, at what percentage?
This fragrance can be used in candle wax. We recommend checking with your wax manufacturer for the recommended usage rate for your particular wax.
Is there a fragrance oil similar to Balsam Cedar FO 258 that does not have vanilla? This one sounds delightful, but I don't want the brown color change, and would rather not use the stabilizer. Thank you!
You might try Windsong Balsam Pine #519 or our Fragrance Formulator Balsam Pine #258. Neither of these have any vanilla content.
Any ricing or seizing with balsam cedar fragrance oil when used in cold process soap?
We have had no complaints of ricing or seizing with this fragrance in CP.
