Directions

For jars, measure the base into a mixing container, then add up to 1% cosmetic fragrance or 0.33% essential oil and cosmetic color as desired. Mix thoroughly, fill jars, cap, and label. For bottles, warm the base gently in a Pyrex cup using low, intermittent microwave heat until pourable, then add fragrance or essential oil and color, mix well, and pour into bottles. Allow to cool to room temperature before capping and labeling.

Why is the 5 gallon bucket price per gallon so much more than the 4 gallon price? 4 gallons is ~$18/ gallon but a 5 gallon bucket is ~$28/gallon. Shouldn't it be less expensive the more you buy?: Thank you for bringing this to our attention; we've corrected this on the website and the listed prices are now accurate.
I have bought the Satin and Silk Lotion, and it is thick enough to spoon into a tin and sell as a body butter. Is this lotion thick enough for that, too?: Our Basic Lotion Base is much thinner than our Satin & Silk Lotion Base.
Do you carry a pump that works with the five gallon buckets? Or know where I can find one that works with your lids?: We do not carry a pump that goes with our 5 gallon buckets. We do not know if there is any type of pump available that would work with this lid.
Approx how many 8oz bottles will the 5gal bucket make?: You should get approximately 80 - 8 oz. bottles from a 5 gal. bucket.
I plan on using Shea and Mango butters as well as vit e. And my EO or FO. Would i need to add anything else and should i melt all together?: You can add these ingredients but there are restrictions. The maximum percent of additives to our lotion base is 5%. If more than that is added, it will inactive the preservative in the base and may also break down the emulsification system so that the ingredients will no longer stay blended.
