Great Beet Root Powder

"I use for coloring soap with fragrance. The powder has a mild scent so using with fragrance is necessary. Must store in a climate controlled environment to prevent clumping. The clumps can easily be broken down."

My go-to style of jar

"At first I was concerned about the jar being flimsy , so I order a small qty. Upon arrival it was evident that they were exactly what I was looking for and order a larger qty immediately."

ZENEIDA (5/5)

Meh

"Have not used the Cold process soap yet to see how it operates in the soap but as for the color it changed to a yellow tint in my White Gardenia soap. Not a help at all for coloring."

makes a beautiful lip stain

"i found a recipe for an all natural homemade lip stain using just this powder and fractionated coconut oil and its awesome! its great for your cheeks too."

Katy (5/5)

pretty pink

"Works just as I expected. I infused it in olive oil & it produced a pale pink; next batch I used infused oil plus extra powder in the soap for a more saturated pink. It's still pretty pale but produces a nice color."

Britt (5/5)

Passion Red

"Absolutely love the feel and color in my scrubs, it catches the eye of my clients. Extremely pleased with the outcome! Honey, Scrubs n' Stuff"

Karen (5/5)

Not Bad!

"When I needed a matte pink/red coloring, this came in quite handy! Yes, it does have an earthy beet smell to it, but that smell disappeared as soon as it was added to my scrubs. It gave a nice dark pink color to my scrubs, and mixed in quite easily into them. The color didn't run into my white vanilla layers, so overall I give it a thumbs up!"

Renee (5/5)

Excellent!

"Great for natural coloring in my CP soaps! Use it in my tropical line! Will definitely buy more. I also like the packaging! On my second batch!"

Paula (5/5)

Beautiful

"I love this powder! It created a gorgeous pink in the soap. Blended well and looked lovely!"

Lisa (5/5)

"This truly is beet root powder. . . and absolutely lovely! Perfect for naturally coloring and adding extra benefits to your soap."

Q&A

Is this the same as Trimethylglycine?
No, beet root powder is not the same as trimethylglycine
I'm new to all of these, so I'm doing a lot of research right now, can any of the natural herb powders be used for body butters? It would contain mango butter, shea, cocoa. Also, can it be used in making shaving butter/cream with lathering properties(as well as sugar scrubs)?
To use vegetable powders in body butter, add the powder to an oil and mix well. Be careful to test so there is no skin staining.
Hello. I am using this in my lip balm recipe. Do I add the powder before or after heating the oils?
This should be added after heating the oils.
Would like to use this in my facial cleanser to give it colour...i know i would need to add it to the cool down phase (obvi) but where would i start? What would the colour look like if my cleanser is light brown already? Would mica powder be the best thing to go with to give colour? Would it be grainy? Would i need to dissolve in water first?
This is something you will have to test on your own as we don't have your recipe or know the color or consistency. We can't speak for how it will turn out. It may have slight graininess, so you could always infuse in your oils/water used then strain.
Is there something special I need to add, such as a preservative, to keep the beet root powder from molding or rotting in my melt & pour soaps?
No, you do not need to add anything additional.
