Once melted, add cosmetic color, fragrance, and other skin-safe additives—this base can hold up to 5% total additives—then pour the mixture into a Crafter’s Choice mold and spritz the surface with rubbing alcohol to reduce bubbles. Allow the soap to cool completely before unmolding, then wrap it in airtight plastic wrap to preserve freshness. Melted soap is hot and should be used with caution; recommended for ages 15 and older.

Can I add something such as sodium chloride to bring down the pH? Any other ingredient that would be better?: You can use citric acid.Citric acid is a weak acid that can help neutralize the alkalinity of the soap base.
Do all of the soap bases you sell contain Propylene glycol? I truly hope not because I purchased several bases. I like to say chemical free and this is a synthetic chemical.: Our soap ingredients are listed on the product page. Crafters Choice Melt and Pour Soap bases contain Propylene Glycol.
Is there any soap base that you would consider safe enough for newborns? If yes, which one?: You would need to consult your pediatrician before using.
