Directions:
MELT: Determine amount of melt and pour soap base needed for your project. Carefully slice soap base into small pieces and place in microwave safe container. Heat on low at 30 second intervals. Stir between intervals until liquid. Handle hot soap carefully as it may burn the skin. Soap can also be melted in a double boiler.
MOLD: Stir in cosmetic color, cosmetic scent, and skin safe additives. Pour into a Crafter's Choice mold. Spritz soap surface with rubbing alcohol to remove bubbles. Allow to cool until hard.
ENJOY: Remove from mold and wrap with airtight plastic wrap. Your newly created melt and pour soap is now ready to use!

"Good base if you need time! "
COMMENTS: I make a lot of MP embeds for the tops of CP loaves, and I'm an impatient soaper, so prefer using a different MP base for those, as I've noticed this base takes considerably longer to set up compared to the base I use for embed-making (and it doesn't like to be hurried along either. When I put it in the freezer, it gets a bit tacky to the touch, so it does best when allowed to harden on its own). Plus, I live in FL where almost EVERY base sweats, so no matter what, this MP base needs to be wrapped right away to avoid sweating, but that's just a regional thing. For MP projects that require time due to use of multiple colors, swirls & fancy desings, this base is perfect for that. Stays fluid longer, and I don't have to heat it up excessively for it to stay nice & workable for a good amount of time. This base requires some patience, but for projects where that's imperative, this is a good option. Accepts color, fragrance and additives very well, and has a nice, sustainable lather that isn't drying to my skin. It's also the base I use when making sugar scrubs, and it works great for that!

COMMENTS: I usually have a problem with glycerin due with my m/p soaps which is why i typically dont make that much of it. This product has been sitting in my hot and humid house for weeks now and hasn't gotten any dew on since i have unmolded and cut it!

"Very clear"
COMMENTS: I worried that I wouldn't be able to get a clear bar since so many say that finding a clear MP soap is nearly impossible. I didn't have a problem with this one. A tiny bit of blue colorant and my soap came out close to a glass type finish. We made a swirl with the Shea Butter MP amd it was lovely. I am obviously not a soapmaker, but for making soap sets for Christmas gifts this year, this is just what we needed. This also works well for sugar scrubs. Since its clear, we were able to get very vivid colors.
COMMENTS: Melts easily and looks very clear; I used it with mica and it colored easily. I really like that it is detergent free; will be buying more. This soap is easy to work with and when used bubbles/lathers and feels good on your skin.

"Really works like cold process.."
COMMENTS: This base is a lot softer than most. Once you remove it from the mold and let it "dry" for a few days it loses the sticky feeling. I could not believe that I actually was able to leave it out unwrapped. I love it. It holds fragrances well, easy to unmold in silicone molds (had to break a plastic mold to get it out) and has a low smell. I will purchase this in a bigger quantity next time. These are perfect trays but I just need more of it.

COMMENTS: I have always ordered my melt and pour base from a different company, I switched to WSP because I needed to cut back on my suppliers. I am glad that I tried this soap base, it's low sweat and detergent free. It performed exactly as I expected and of course, I never worry about quality with WSP! Knowing that I can trust their brand, is one of the primary reasons that I chose them, over the other supplier. The price is also more reasonable, due to the shipping alone and since they do carry detergent free soap base, I plan to order it here from now on.

"Takes Forever to Set Up"
COMMENTS: I'm a cold-process soap maker, but I use Melt & Pour for embeds to top my soap. I've been looking for an M&P soap base that really won't sweat when embedded in CP. This base does that trick quite well. However, it takes a very, very long time to set up. If you are doing complex M&P designs, and you need time to work, this is the base for you!! If, however, you are making embeds for CP soap, be prepared to wait about an hour before you can use the embeds. So I'm back on the hunt again.

"Just made the switch, and i am so pleased"

However if you're looking to put something inside your bar of soap, and because it is detergent free, it is cloudy. It may be my imagination but it also seems like it becomes more cloudy as time goes on. I don't wise it's a great soap it bubbles up nicely has a good lather and I would recommend it.

COMMENTS: I love to use this product in my CP soaps. I will add some color and glitter and pour in one of your column molds and either cut for embed on top of soap or leave the soap whole and hide inside a white base CP soap. I will also take the embeds and roll in mica or glitter for tops of my soaps. Helps with the sweating, (though there is not much sweating) and make the embeds sparkle and glitter... Awesome I tell you!!

COMMENTS: This melt and pour worked great. I was doing a melt and pour project with toys embedded inside, so I debated getting the crystal clear MP base, but I liked that this one is detergent free and I ended up going with it. I did a couple drops of blue color to give it that really clear look, and it's great. Very clear and smooth looking, not cloudy at all. I did use a water-white fragrance, and I'm sure that helped.

"Gentle soap with no redness after use"
COMMENTS: When I made some facial bars of soap that my teenage granddaughter used, she was so happy that she didn't end up with redness on her face. She shared a bar of the soap on a website we use to sell some of our products and described it as the best soap she had ever used for her acne. When a potential buyer asked what was so great about it, we looked at the ingredients and she immediately picked up on the fact that the Melt and Pour soap base was detergent free. She realized that all of the soaps she had used before had detergent in them and that had caused irritation to her sensitive skin. Once the skin was irritated, it wasn't long before the reaction to the detergent had developed into whiteheads that progressed to eruptions and break outs. She insists that she will not be using anymore soaps with detergents in them. I don't blame her and I will be choosing the detergent free base from now on.

"Detergent Free Clear MP Soap"
COMMENTS: I really like using a detergent free base, especially as my daughter has sensitive skin. It melts clear, but it can cloud depending on the FO used. But so can any other clear base from any other manufacturer. I really like this product and especially appreciate that I can buy in bulk in the 2 lb. packages and not have to man handle that large block of soap.

"Crafters Choice is the Best"
COMMENTS: I have tried others but Crafters Choice is the best and Wholesale Supplies Plus has the best prices. Detergent Free was perfect for my basic M&P soaps. I was able to add raw honey, oats and rosemary to this and not only did it suspend well but held up great in the shower. Got many uses before it was gone!

COMMENTS: I am so pleased with the quality of this soap. I have had issues in the past using clear bases and severe sweating and had heard so many positive things about Crafters Choice I had to try it and SO glad I did. I have not experiences ANY sweating with this base and I live in Texas where it is hot and much more humid than usual. My bars are gorgeous and I am able to suspend embeds with absolutely no problems pouring at a cooler temperature and STILL get that gorgeous clear look where my embeds are completely visible and the fact it is detergent free is a huge plus and an excellent marketing feature. will order all of my M&P bases from WSP from now on.
