Once melted, add cosmetic color, fragrance, and other skin-safe additives—this base can hold up to 5% total additives—then pour the mixture into a Crafter’s Choice mold and spritz the surface with rubbing alcohol to reduce bubbles. Allow the soap to cool completely before unmolding, then wrap it in airtight plastic wrap to preserve freshness. Melted soap is hot and should be used with caution; recommended for ages 15 and older.

Consistency issues and drying

"There are a lot of great reviews for this product, but my experience is different. It was easy to cut and melt. It set well in the molds. But I found the consistency of the soap to be rubbery, like fresh mozzarella, which is not what I was looking for. The base was also drying to my skin so I didn't feel confident giving this to friend and family. I don't plan to use this again unless it's for embeds or decorations."
