This Oatmeal Melt and Pour Soap Base is a detergent free base that is an opaque light tan color with real oatmeal flecks. Contains real oatmeal, which is thought to moisturize and relieve itching. Directions:

MELT: Determine amount of melt and pour soap base needed for your project. Carefully slice soap base into small pieces and place in microwave safe container. Heat on low at 30 second intervals. Stir between intervals until liquid. Handle hot soap carefully as it may burn the skin. Soap can also be melted in a double boiler.

MOLD: Stir in cosmetic color, cosmetic scent, and skin safe additives. Pour into a Crafter's Choice or Milky Way soap mold. Spritz soap surface with rubbing alcohol to remove bubbles. Allow to cool until hard.

ENJOY: Remove from mold and wrap with airtight plastic wrap. Your newly created melt and pour soap is now ready to use!

CAUTION: Melted soap is hot! For ages 15 and older.

"Hello, I tried to do two layers soap with the oatmeal base and I noticed that i didn't stick as well even applying the alcohol between layers before pouring the top layer. (of course letting the first layer to harden applying alcohol just before pouring the top layer). This soap base if good recommended for making M&P two layer soaps??"

"Love these Detergent Free Bases"

COMMENTS: I've been buying these detergent free MP bases for YEARS from WSP. I absolutely love making embeds with them for my CP soap. This particular one I also use to make soap for my fur babies. I love the oatmeal in them, and I never color it, I always leave it natural because it looks great as is. I do wish that the prices haven't gone up so much for MP... I can't believe how expensive everything has gotten over the years.

"Creamy!"

COMMENTS: I loved using this base. I bought it originally for a friend of mine who requested a soap made out of it for her eczema, and I loved it so much I had to make soap for myself as well! It has a very faint oat smell, but I like the smell and it could be easily covered with fragrances if you choose to. It is a bit grainy, but in a gentle exfoliating way. It made a nice creamy lather. I haven't even add colorants to this yet because I love the color it already has.

COMMENTS: So fun! I only have make cold process soap. A friend gave me a bar of her melt and pour and it felt very nice on the skin. So that got my wheels turning , LOL! This has such a wonderful oat smell, light but you can smell the oats! I did just what the instructions said. I cubed the amount of soap I wanted into small pieces and microwaved (Low Power)at 30% for 30 seconds and stirred between each interval, for a total of 3 times. So easy . I like the bubbles. I thought there may be none but it does bubble , I believe they call it creamy bubbles. I wanted sulfate free and that's what I got. Thanks Again Wholesale Supplies Plus and God Bless!

"Creamy lather"

COMMENTS: Good creamy lather and nice tan color on its own, or used for tan embeds. I used the oatmeal soap as embeds in the white 3-butter and white goat's milk MP soaps. Used Hot Buttered Rum FO #523 and soaped at the base max of 3%. Everyone loved it. All three MP soaps hold all fragrances extremely well and look just perfect, no matter what design I do. Will definitely reorder. The 2 LB tray is the perfect size, as this is just a hobby for me right now. The 2 LB trays allow me to try several different types of soaps and are easy to store.

COMMENTS: I love this soap. Most importantly it doesn't have sls in it and still has nice soft suds! I used it for body and face soap. I can't keep it on the stands. I mix it w/the honey soap and also the shea butter soap. I've also added extra ground oats and different clays to it. You can't go wrong using this soap.

"Creamy & Soothing, Great with Honey"

COMMENTS: I purchased the Crafter's Choice Detergent Free Oatmeal MP Soap to pair with a MP honey soap as a separate layer in bath bars. I was pleasantly surprised by the creamy consistency and nice lather! It has a mild natural scent. Nice light natural tan color. The oatmeal bits are nice for exfoliating texture, and add visual impact. If I pour hot, they sink to the bottom and form an attractive layer. If I stir and pour cooler, they get some suspension. I have also mixed this base half and half with a honey MP base to make guest soaps. Also mixes well with Shea or Goat's Milk bases. Warning, do not overheat or the scalded soap will not smell very nice. Occasionally I drop a few steel cut oats on top for a garnish.

"Very popular soap"

COMMENTS: Used this base to make small/guest soaps. Rather than coloring the soap, I used colored ultra clear soap to color in the details of the soap mold. The colors really popped against the oatmeal soap & made a very professional looking soap. I have received a lot of compliments on this oatmeal base soap. I pair it with the Oatmeal, Milk, and Honey fragrance oil and that's all it needs to make it a stand out soap. In addition, the soothing qualities of oatmeal are a real plus.
