Our Three Butter Melt and Pour Soap Base is a detergent free soap base that is opaque and white in color. Directions:

MELT: Determine amount of melt and pour soap base needed for your project. Carefully slice soap base into small pieces and place in microwave safe container. Heat on low at 30 second intervals. Stir between intervals until liquid. Handle hot soap carefully as it may burn the skin. Soap can also be melted in a double boiler.

MOLD: Stir in cosmetic color, cosmetic scent, and skin safe additives. Pour into a Crafter's Choice or Milky Way soap mold. Spritz soap surface with rubbing alcohol to remove bubbles. Allow to cool until hard.

ENJOY: Remove from mold and wrap with airtight plastic wrap. Your newly created melt and pour soap is now ready to use!

CAUTION: Melted soap is hot! For ages 15 and older.

"I am adding around 6% fragrance and the fragrance once the soap is used does not "hold", it is faint or non existent on the skin. What can be done to help the soap hold the scent longer/stronger. Since it can only hold 6% additives adding a higher amount of fragrance is not an option. "

	"Difficult to color this base"
COMMENTS: The feel of this soap is wonderful, but it is SO difficult to color with accuracy. The color fades so much after the soap hardens and I have to melt the soap AGAIN and color if further. I also have to use so much color. I was hoping to carry natural bases from now on, but this is just too time consuming for a busy business.

COMMENTS: I like how there are 3 rich butters in this melt and pour soap base but I have noticed this does sweat quickly, even when this was wrapped in cling wrap and also shrink wrap. I am not sure if all detergent free soap bases are low sweat as some say they are and some are not listed as low sweat. Doubt I would purchase this again as I need a low sweat base as my soap is sold in a nearby store and I really don't want my customers put off by glycerin dew.

"A fantastic soap base!"

COMMENTS: This base was VERY easy to work with. It cuts easily and stays fluid while melted, which allows for a lot of working time. My customers have loved how the base feels and how long it lasts in the shower. I've tried Triple Butter bases from other suppliers, and I feel like they are often too heavy and cool down too fast. Not the case with this one! It also is paraben- and detergent-free, which makes me feel better.

COMMENTS: Just cutting into this bar was satisfiying??! It melted very well and it stayed cooled down to about 110 and was still very liquidy! And when I tested it it was very soft and moisturizing. "The creamiest base ever"

"Three Butter M&P soap base"

COMMENTS: I love this soap base. It is so easy to work with and reminds me of CP. I don't have any problems with it sweating. It creates a lovely lather and bubbles. It is very moisturizing to the skin. If you get the temperature just right you can create a fairly good swirl like CP. Just be sure and cover with plastic wrap while waiting for it to reach the right temp, to keep it from getting the film on the top.
