Fresh muddy dirt blended with moist mossy notes.

We test fragrances with the recipe of 50% olive oil, 20% sunflower oil,
15% coconut 76, 10% shea butter, 5% castor. No water discount.

"Smells like dirt"

COMMENTS: This was very polarizing for my friends and family. I think it smells like dirt in the way dirt smells like decay, I had it curing in a closet offy bedroom and more than once woke up in the middle of the night thinking I'd be buried alive because of the smell. My mother thought it smelled like cat urine and mildew, my BIL thought it smelled like a forest floor, a friend thought it smelled like blue algae on a lake, the friends made it for thought it smelled like a cave and exactly what they wanted when they asked for a dirt smelling soap.

"Accurate scent that behaves well "

COMMENTS: If you’ve ever had an aquarium, this scent smells exactly like aquarium water. Earthy, mossy, wet, with a very slight bacterial note. The comparison to fresh dirt is shockingly accurate! It behaves well and is quite strong. I actually had to dial it down with one of my soaps because it was overpowering my florals! This fragrance isn’t for everyone, but I’m sure some would love this.

"Was Good Not So Lately"

COMMENTS: I used to order this to make a lot of hunting sprays for several clubs. It was awesome! The last 3 orders the scent is extremely mild if at all. It has more of the base carrier smell. I had product returned due to the lack of aroma. I reach out to the company and I am waiting on them to get back with me as to why the change. The change is very noticeable, I use to open one large bottle and it would almost run you out of the room now you have to wave your hand over the bottle and maybe get a small whiff of the dirt smell. I don't know if they diluted it, changed the formula, or change their raw supplier. Hopefully, I will get a response soon as to the issue. I am patiently waiting as I love crafters choice products. I also hope that whatever the reason for the change it goes back to the original scent. Hope this was helpful.

"Great product"

COMMENTS: Just finished up a batch of cold process soap. I colored it brown, so discoloration was not an issue. NO ACCELERATION, RICING, or SEPARATION. The smell is exactly like soil. I just made a plain brown loaf. In future I may try a grass scent to put on top to look like a shovelful of lawn.

COMMENTS: This FO smells just like dirt. I bought it after reading the reviews since there are a lot of hunters in my area. Did MP soap in a camo pattern and it almost sold out at my first craft show of the season. Many wives were buying it for their hunting husbands/brothers/sons, and a few ladies bought them as gag gifts for their grandkids (a sale is a sale in my book!). "Super Realistic Fragrance"

	"I was plesantly surprised..."
COMMENTS: OK, I decided to take a chance on this on thinking maybe the kids would think it's "cool," but when I received this fragrance, oh my, shew! It smelled like a mushroom picked from a rotting log after a heavy rain. I was going to throw it away but after reading all the positive reviews I decided to give it a chance in CP soap. In soap it smells more like potting soil...such a pleasant surprise with this one. I'll be buying more.

COMMENTS: This scent is not my favorite the smell of wet dirt is a bit strong, however I have been getting a lot of demands for soap and lotions with this scent from local hunters. They love this scent and its a big hit so I'll be getting more in the future.

COMMENTS: I had a customer who is a hunter....he wanted something that would cover his own scent while hunting! I made a camo soap and scented with dirt FO and he purchased several bars and loved it. I love the scent as well...it smells just like fresh turned earth! "Wonderful but subtle"

COMMENTS: This scent really does smell like fresh dirt, in a good way. I used it in a formula with other scents (both fragrance oils and essential oils) and it tends to be easily over-powered by other scents. Still it is absolutely fantastic!

"Men Love It !!!"

COMMENTS: I had a customer request this fragrance for a Hunter's Special Kit. I guess they use the soap to wash with and the lotion bar to put on their hands before handling things and the body spray on their clothes when they go hunting so that the deer, ect. can't smell them as well. They claim it works.

COMMENTS: The fragrance of "Dirt" is just that... dirt. It smells like rich, freshly turned soil. It reminds me of working in the garden. Great alone, or mixed with a variety of other fragrances for unique blends that are very appealing. When I am asked "what is this amazing scent?" I often get eye buldges when I start naming the blend of fragrances and get to the "dirt" scent. If you're looking for something clean, but not clean, get dirty with dirt.

"Reminds me of planting a garden!"

COMMENTS: This is a beautiful scent. True dirt scent that is earthy and complex. If you are looking for a summertime garden scent, this is it! This is a great FO to mix with other "garden type" scents. I mixed this with WSP's Farmer's Market Vine Ripe Tomato FO and it is an all time favorite from my husband to my teenage daughter! Customers love it. This scent makes me think of gardening in the summertime. Lovely! Also, a dream to work with in CP soap.

"Surprising to say the least"

COMMENTS: Right out of the bottle this reeked of bitter horseradish to me, it's my least favorite fragrance oil i ordered. I realize that the scent will likely mellow out and/or change after soaping though, so i still have hope. The thing is, after showing my bf all the fragrance oils, this was his favorite one! You should have seen his eyes light up the instant he got a whiff! "This smells just like dirt! like gardening! ( i swear, he didn't read any of the countless reviews that state exactly that). He was laughing and grinning like a kid, while he relayed memories of childhood projects with his dad. While we both really loved all the fragrances we ordered, none evoked such feelings of nostalgia like this dirt fragrance. I still don't really smell dirt, but his excitement is good enough for me.

COMMENTS: I wouldn't use this in your ordinary, every day soap, but it is absolutely wonderful for prank/Halloween soaps! To me, it smells more like swamp peat moss than dirt, but it could still pull off that 'graveyard dirt' name. Used in tiny amounts, it might make for an interesting earthy undertone for stronger, mixed scents.

COMMENTS: I love love Love this FO. Dirt is one of my FO Favorites! My first impression was, wow, this smells like dirt. Now someone would ask them-self, why in the world would I want to smell like dirt? You are not alone, I asked my self the same thing initially. However, out of curiosity I ordered a small bottle. COMMENTS: Still shaking my head over this fragrance, but I had to buy it to see for myself. LOL....it is indeed ripe, fresh DIRT. That being said, I really like it blended with something else...I blend it with a fir fragrance for my Mountain Man CP soap and it really comes out well. I have also blended it with Rain for a really nice garden soap. It goes well with Cotton.....it makes for some interesting soaps...more along the masculine lines, but a great conversation starter for soap.

COMMENTS: This is a fantastic, clean, peaty type soil scent. I honestly didn't think it would sell, but it made a fantastic gag-gift type soap as well as hunting soap. It flew off the shelves! COMMENTS: I love this scent. I mix it as a base note in my earthy, more herbal men's soaps. It goes well with Black Amber Musk and Cedar. I use it in hot process soap and it doesn't seize the soap. Every time someone smells a soap that I made with this scent, even if it's layered with another scent, they eventually notice the "dirt" smell and mention it's fresh earthy goodness!

COMMENTS: I honestly didn't know what to expect from a fragrance oil labeled "dirt," but it really does smell like dirt - in a good way. 	"4 Stars for an EXACT scent!"
COMMENTS: I was hesitant to try this...very hesitant. But, I am very - VERY glad I did. This FO smells absolutely like wet, soggy, mossy, earthy DIRT/MUD. It soaped amazingly well for CP, no problems at all. Made a soap called "Earthling" with brown and blue, and green soap ribbons on top to simulate grass. It was a huge success, still curing, but smells great and created a truly adorable soap. I may do this one again on a special order basis, but it for sure deserves 4 stars :-)

COMMENTS: I made cp "hunters" soap last week and used this fragrance. And it does smell exactly like DIRT, lol. Hubby came home and asked why did it smell like dirt in the house. It performed well, no acceleration.

COMMENTS: No acceleration or discoloration. Smells EXACTLY of moist, mossy earth. Very strong OOB. I made a dirt/grass soap that makes my indoors smells like fresh outdoors! It's causing me to want to make a candle in this fragrance so I can burn it during the winter.

COMMENTS: Give it a shot. It's a great, great base with other, sweeter fragrances. Smells like moss, and very curt, acrid peet. Disperses well, as in it smells pretty weird (a little sour/strong) in the bottle but amazing when diluted in bath fizzes, salts, etc. Agree with a person who said it reminds them of the Demeter fragrance line. It reminds me of the "Clean" perfume that came in the green bottle, I think it's discontinued. Great "green" notes. Love it.

	"DELICIOUS DIRT (yes, really)"
COMMENTS: First of all, this smells amazing. Yes, it smells like dirt, but not dirty - it's like fresh potting soil. It reminds me of those Demeter fragrances that were so popular that had weird scents, they totally had a dirt one & a grass one, etc. The thing is, this makes a really wonderful, earthy base scent, even if you don't want something to smell like dirt. I took some of this dirt fragrance, mixed it with fresh cut grass (the combo of just those 2 together is really awesome btw), then added oak moss, because that stuff smells amazing, threw in a little clean cotton scent & topped it off with a bit of fig. This created a really incredible, really high-end kind of scent. I turned it into a soy candle for my best friend, who loves these scents separately, but when mixed together, it was like magic - the end result actually smells just like a candle she has in her home that she loves, so it was clearly fate. I brought it with me to work so I could drop it off at my best friend's house afterward, & every one of my coworkers say it's their favorite scent of all my candles. I am definitely going to try more combinations with this stuff! It's so good!

COMMENTS: This smells like what it is supposed to smell like. It smells like dirt, with just the faintest hint of beetroot. But definitely dirt. It smells so much like dirt, in fact, that I was horrified when a drop spilled on my dog (my nice, freshly cleaned dog). She now smells like she has been rolling around in a bag of potting soil. This FO is pretty strong. It sticks (dear goblins, does it ever stick, to EVERYTHING!), and it's pungent, so you won't need to add a whole lot of this to your products. It's certainly going to be interesting, working it in to the new product line!

COMMENTS: This farm girl at heart loves the smell of fresh turned soil that this delivers. Dirt hits the nail on the head! As promised, it did accelerate trace. I didn't mind as the multi colored design I was working on did require a ticker soap. I worked it at about 100 degrees.

"So Much Fun!"

COMMENTS: I originally got this as a sample. I loved it! Most people say "YUCK", but it reminded me of my Aunt Ruth's fruit cellar at the farm! And then I discovered, by accident, the popularity of it by the hunting afficiando! I sell it in bars for hunters, and in "dirt" crayon soaps that little boys think is a hoot! I even sold 30 of them to a master gardener for her junior gardener class. I packaged them in a worm motif!! Anyway! It's a hit!
