First Winter

"The description of this scent is right on, each scent comes through on its own. I made a blue and white layered soap to represent the first snow of the season, ""First Snow"" is fitting. I can't wait to give it as Christmas gifts."

Love First Snow!

"This is very unique holiday scent that can certainly be used year round. Very light on the mint, but it's there. Hints of fruit and floral are delicately intertwined with sweet mint in the background. Wonderfully different with excellent balance and depth. Used in CP soap at 1 oz per pound of oil (about 6%) and had no acceleration while swirling three colors. Uncolored portion has immediate discoloration to light tan, which I expected and planned for. Tan will probably get darker. Very workable for me in CP and set up nicely when I needed it to. Just as fabulous in lotion. I really, really like this. Highly recommend."

My favorite ""winter"" scent

"I call this a winter scent because of the name. I will use it all year because of the wonderful scent! It is so unique and pretty, I don't even know how to describe it except it's heavenly!"

Bonnie (5/5)

Seriously awesome scent

"I love this scent. It's the perfect winter scent without being the same old thing. It's worked well in my soy candles so far!"

Scent Sticks!

"Soaped great in both CP and M&P. No ricing, or acceleration. This one has 2% vanilla content so I am expecting some discoloration. To me, the scent is light, fresh, crisp and more of a perfume scent. I know the name evokes a winter season scent, but I say, change the name and use it year round!"

Perfect for Winter

"Great scent for the winter months! Reminds me of walking by a forest after it snows."

Q&A

I would like to see the option to be able to purchase the original fragrance oil (without EO). And make it MORE affordable!! Please bring back the original!!!!!
This formula was not changed in any way. The name was updated to call out the EOs included in the original formula.
I am wanting to clarify: to use this oil (First Snow Fragrance Oil) in cp soap I see that the maximum skin exposure level is 5 1/2%. Do I take that number from the oil weight or the weight of the whole batch? Also, do you have a fragrance calculator for these oils? Thank you for your time!Best, Anna Marie
This amount is for the whole batch so if your batch is 2 lbs you would multiply 32 oz x .055 or 32 x 5.5%. You would add 1.76 oz of fragrance oil to a 2 lb batch of soap. I use 6% of most FOs to get a good strong fragrance unless it is a unusually strong fragrance oil or essential oil and I use less. Hope this helps answer your question.

I don't think so, if you use soap calc just put 1 once in the fragrance section (per pound) and it will be around 5%

I use this oil in cp and I use 1/2 ounce per pound of oils even with this fragrance and I have no problems. It's a wonderful fragrance!!!
When do you switch out your Fall/Winter stock to Spring/Summer or do you keep them available all year?
We do not have a schedule for seasonal items. We bring in new fragrances all year round. Some are seasonal and are discontinued if sales do not support them being added to our regular line. Some, however, are so popular that they become part of our regular line. Thank you for your question. Please feel free to call customer service for further assistance. 1-800-359-0944
