I've noticed with the clear shower gel that it is separating with cloudy liquid on the bottom and clear liquid on time once I add the FO. I'm using a FO that has 9% vanillin in it. Do I mix both the EO/FO modifier and the vanilla stabilizer for lotions/washes at the same time? I've also noticed with some of the FO's with vanillin, after mixing with modifier & stabilizer stays cloudy. What's a solution to both questions, please.

First, you would mix your fragrance and stabilizer at a 2:1 ratio (if the fragrance has a vanilla content of 10% or higher, you would use at a 1:1 ratio.) Once that mixture is created, you can mix 4 parts modifier to 1 part FO/stabilizer mixture. From there, you can add your new "fragrance" to your base at the recommended usage rate. You may need to use a bit more modifier until your finished product remains blended and clear. Slightly heating your base can also help the fragrance and modifier bind. You may try adding a few addtl drops at a time of Modifier to help with the cloudiness. Some FOs cloud more than others; if you need to use more FO & EO Modifier and find it has thinned your shower gel, you can add Bubble Wash Thickener.

Is this a natural solubilizer?

This is not considered a natural product, and we don't currently carry a natural alternative.

I see that someone had asked about using this in bath bombs, and you said it's not necessary. I was following the wsp bath bomb recipe where it does call for a solubilizer, polysorbate 80. I didn't have any of that on hand, so I subbed for eo/fo modifier, still keeping in mind the 4:1 usage rate. Is that OK, or can it not be used in bath bombs?

The purpose of PS80 is to disperse the oils and mica evenly in the bathwater so they don't float on top or cause a slippery ring around the tub. While an FO & EO modifier helps incorporate oils into water, it is not the standard choice for dry-press bath fizzy formulations and is meant to be used in liquid, water-based applications. We'd recommend testing for performance -- unless the tub becomes slippery, it's not a safety issue.

Does this work easier than the Polysorbates? I can never get them to work I swear!

This product is a proprietary blend and we've found it stays clear and does not separate over time.

I am second guessing my recipe. Can you help me figure the following. Soap Base - 8 lbs , 4% Fragrance load would be 153mlHow much of the Modifier would I use?

The FO/EO ratio is 4 parts FO Modifier to 1 part oil based FO.
