Directions

For jars, measure the base into a mixing container, then add up to 1% cosmetic fragrance or 0.33% essential oil and cosmetic color as desired. Mix thoroughly, fill jars, cap, and label. For bottles, warm the base gently in a Pyrex cup using low, intermittent microwave heat until pourable, then add fragrance or essential oil and color, mix well, and pour into bottles. Allow to cool to room temperature before capping and labeling.

"I had several requests for lotion so I spent about a year researching and testing various pre-made lotions from various suppliers (I am not a chemist and could never hope to make a from-scratch lotion, especially with mold liability issues being what they are with the high moisture content of lotions). This lotion was an instant hit! Rich and creamy, but not greasy. This is DEFINATELY a high-end lotion. I use 4 oz. malibu bottles and have professional labels. One thing that has happened that I am not sure how to handle is that initial sales in a new location are always super, but follow-up sales (talking about festivals) are lower ""because it is such a rich product, it lasts forever and I don't need anymore yet. Can I add Irish Sea Moss powder to this lotion base?: We have not tested this product and cannot answer that. We recommend you test a small batch.
Between heating base up, adding my additives & then putting it into my containers, how can I avoid condensation in my jars? Is Condensation bad? Could this cause mold in my product? Thanks: Yes, condensation can cause mold if trapped in your container. You will need to allow your product to cool down to room temperature before adding the lid. This will cut down on condensation.
