Details

For melt and pour soap, pour at no hotter than 135°F, cool until hardened, then unmold—freezing briefly and dipping the mold bottom in warm water if needed. For cold process soap, lightly coat the mold with cooking spray, pour at trace, unmold after 24 hours, and cure 4–8 weeks; add sodium lactate if your recipe stays soft. For lotion bars, pour melted mixture (no hotter than 135°F), allow to solidify, then press the back of the mold to release. Wash molds in warm, soapy water and avoid dishwashers to prevent warping.

Q&A

The directions say to use cooking spray to the mold. Yet, in the Q&A, the rep of the company says DO NOT use cooking spray. Which is correct?: We do not see where it states to NOT use a cooking spray if making CP. You should NOT use when making MP soap. If you are making CP soap, you can absolutely spray the molds with cooking spray.
I cant seem to find soap boxes to fit this mold size? Do you sell them?: Unfortunately, we do not currently carry a 4'x 2' box.
Just made a batch of cold process soap in these molds and it is not unmolding easily at all. It's been sitting in there three days - and it is relatively hard. Should I try putting it in the freezer? Any other suggestions?: The directions for the plastic molds state to spray with vegetable oil or line the molds before pouring CP soap into them. You can try the freezer to see if it is helpful.
