Directions:
Melt & Pour Soap: Close the mold by firmly pressing the edges together. Stand the mold in a sturdy measuring cup. Slowly pour melted soap into mold, and allow soap to harden. Open mold and remove soap. Trim edges with a potato peeler or spatula. Embed mini column into a loaf. Embed multiple mini columns for a unique design.
Cold Process Soap: Close the mold by firmly pressing the edges together. Stand the mold in a sturdy measuring cup. Slowly pour traced soap into mold. After at least 24 hours, open mold and remove soap with gloved hands. Trim edges with a potato peeler or spatula. Embed soap into a loaf. Allow soap to cure for 4-8 weeks. Note that some cp soap recipes may require a week to harden enough to remove from the mold. If this is the case with your recipe, we recommend adding sodium lactate to your recipe to assist with creating a harder bar faster.

COMMENTS: This is a super cute mold for fish embeds, however, I found this very to use. I had a lot of trouble getting the mold closed. Once I got it too close I used alligator clips to hold it together, and it still seeped through in some areas.

"Adorable!"
COMMENTS: I love playing with these embed molds. They are a great way to make use of batch leftovers. Easy to un-mold and I have very little or no leakage with them. Just had to find the correct pouring temp to keep the base from being too thin and having it seep through seams.
WSP Response:
We suggest pouring soap around 130°F into any column mold.

"Goldfish mini column silicone soap mold"
COMMENTS: This is so cute. The little goldfish looks just like the Pepperidge Farm crackers. I use it as an embed in cold process soap. I tried it in melt and pour but it kept floating to the top of the mold. Could have been my error since this was my first embed attempt.

"My little goldfish mini mold"
COMMENTS: I am married to a very avid fisherman and this mold just called out to me. I bought two right away because I knew it would be a tiny fish. I made a small batch of cp soap and poured into the two molds. The next morning, I put both molds into the freezer for a little while and when I took them out, the mold worked like a dream. I can now make my husband a very cute bar of soap with little fish swimming around in it. Thanks for a great mold!

"cute little mold"
COMMENTS: I wasn't sure I could make a CP soap from this little fish mold (0.5 in), but after one unsuccessful try, I was able to accomplish it. I used the CPOP method, after the soap mixture set up in the mold. I used metal clasps on either side of the mold and set it into a ceramic cup, balancing it upright on the metal clasps. After an all nighter in the oven, I gently unmolded the soap and let it air dry for a few hours. It was hard enough to handle without breaking... and I then inserted it into my CP soap loaf for my "fish" embed.
