Directions

This is a cold mix base, meaning that heating is not recommended. It can be hand- or machine-mixed on the lowest speed. Simply add Fragrance or Essential Oils directly to base, mix, and spoon into your jars. Recommended fragrance load is up to 1%. Colorants can be used to color base from light pastels to bright bold colors.

"This base is great and easy to mix things into to make it your own. It is very basic though. Even though it did leave my skin moisturized, it did not last long and was very very light. Also I noticed when I used it in the shower, it turns white when on my wet skin and you need to use a lot of it. Don't get me wrong this is a wonderful scrub, it's just not the luxurious quality I was looking for. I made a honey scrub by adding 1 tsp honey and 1. 5ml honey fragrance to 4oz of base, it smells great and has a nice color. The honey does not seperate out. I also added 2tsp of coffee grounds and 1ml coffee fragrance to 4oz of base and the coffee grounds colored the base a nice color and the scent is amazing. Make sure to put a do not eat disclaimer on the label!"

Can turmeric be added to this recipe?: We have not tested adding tumeric to this base , But this is something that you may test.
Cam I add fragrance oil and hydrating oil to this scrub and if so how much please?: Yes you can add fo to this base, please refer to the IFRA guidelines.
What kind of colorant can be used for this? Mica or liquid color?: Mica color and oil based colorants will work best in this scrub.
Where would fragrance be listed if used at 1%?: Include Fragrance after Sunflower Extract, before Vitamin E.
