Well you gotta know what to expect

"do not expect a smell. They have no scent. Also have to consider that some will be widdled or broken , sharper on the edges so if you are expecting something soft and smells good this isnt it"

Hibiscus

"These hibiscus flowers have a gorgeous color and fragrance. They lightly color the water when used in bath teas and I will be using them in cp soaps as well."

very pretty in soap!

"I wanted to make something a little different and so I made some soap bars and tossed in some hibiscus petals. I was pleasantly surprised as the gradual color change took place, made a lovely and unexpected shade of blue while the petals stayed red. I made a bath tea and these were just beautiful to look at! My customers loved it!"

Great for Sugar Scrubs

"I loved using this paired with peppermint essential oil to make a sugar scrub."

Wonderful Surprise Colorant

"We like to use natural products to add color to our soap & this one was a great surprise! From the color of the botanical we expected something in the red or purple family but it turned the base a lovely mid to deep slate blue almost immediately. Waiting to see the end coloration, but we think this is it. We did add FO, but it's these botanicals controlling the color. Very different from mica & lake coloring and also procides natural mild exfoliant. Recommend you try it."

Love these flowers!

"I purchased these flowers as an add in to my soaps for fragrance and also a softer exfoliating ingredient. They leached out a pale pink and slight green color in the hot soap base, which was a beautiful natural effect for my soaps. I have many people telling me how much they love the subtle scent of the flower and is a reorder for sure!"

Divine!

"I used this in bath teas and bath salts. The smell is divine and adds a lovely scent when blended in my bath teas and salts. It is a large bag for the money and a good buy. I will be purchasing this one again!"

Q&A

Are these dried flowers, along with your other dried flowers, grown without pesticides?
There is a chance that these could be grown with pesticides.
Will this turn brown in your rose water essential hydrosol
Yes, these flowers will brown in rose water.
Looking to use this in a face and body oil. Hoping to get much of the color payoff in the oil, how would I best be able to do that without out using water? And If I have to use water, what preservative alternative and would I need? Along with polysobate to use?Thank you
The best way to use the botanicals in a face or body oil would be to infuse the hibiscus flowers in one of the oils used in your recipe. You can then use this oil in your product after straining out the botanicals. You would not need to use water and would not need a preservative.
Can these flowers be used to make a tea to drink?
No, they cannot. We are not a food packaging facility and none of our products are meant for consumption.
Can these be added into soap for mild exfoliation? Will they turn brown?
Yes, they can be added to soap. Most add to the top of CP soap but many add to MP soap and found the colors to change, not to brown, but shades of pink, green, even blue.
