"A customer favorite!" | ||||||
| COMMENTS: Sometimes I wonder if folks even bother to try fragrances in a diluted form in order to truly evaluate the scent. Truthfully, I have been guilty of this myself in the past, but I finally learned that you cannot honestly evaluate scent in its purest concentrated form, it has to be diluted. The first thing I do when I receive new FO's is to do a dilutation at a rate of about 10% - 20% in a tiny 1ml vial in FCO. This allows me to evaluate the scent in a more realistic manner. That said - this FO/EO blend IS very overpowering and rather "synthetic" smelling straight from the bottle. To my nose this is the ylang ylang, which tends to smell very synthetic to my nose, even most ylang ylang EO's are NOT pleasant in their non-diluted form. When I use this scent at about 5% - 10% dilution in an oil or perfumer's alcohol base, many women got absolute nuts over it. I call it something else and it's one of my best sellers. I have no idea what Aveda's version smells like, so cannot attest to that. | |||||||

| COMMENTS: I didn't really like this scent oob it had a very strong alcohol smell combined with an artificial grape scent. I thought maybe it was just me or that it might change to be a bit more pleasant with saponification so I soaped with it anyway. It accelerated trace quite a bit and the smell was the same. It also disscolored to a dark brown( which was expected). This scent was not for me. | |
