Mai Tai Orange Mica Powder is a shimmering red cosmetic powder that is safe to use in cosmetics. In clear soap bases the powder creates a bright coral color reminiscent of a Polynesian cocktail.
The pictured lotus blossom is clear melt and pour soap colored at a rate of 1 tsp. per pound of soap. Color will appear pastel and less vibrant in opaque melt and pour soap bases.

COMMENTS: this was the first time ever using a mica color for cpsoap. I usually only use clays or botanicals. I used about 1 tsp per pound of soap. The color when initially mixed with oil prior to putting into soap is more like a hot pink. Once added to the soap it is also very pink, but when I cut into the soap it does look like a nice peachy coral color. I was nervous about that pink shade! I purchased the 2 ounce container. I now have a lifetime supply since I hardly color with micas.

COMMENTS: I made a eucalyptus and grapefruit soap using this color. The color of the soap was very eye catching and I will be purchasing more of this with the repeat business for that soap bar. This color is just perfect for a grapefruit scent!

"Coral fun!"
COMMENTS: Fun color to use in bath fizzies & CP soap. I did find that the color lightened in my CP soap after the soap set up & cured. Next time I'll CPOP to see if that doesn't brighten the orange & make the deep coral sing through. Otherwise I adore this color, plus the name is definitely fun & tropical.
COMMENTS: I've been looking for a mica for my tropical mango soaps and this is perfect. At first when I mixed it with the oil, it was kinda pink but when I mixed it with the batch and blended, it was beautiful. A perfect coral color.
