Really disappointed

"This oil did not work well with the oils in my recipe. It didn't disperse at all, it just beaded up in the bottom. All of the lip balms ended up with a very sharp chemical flavor and the ones poured towards the end were even worse because the oil was beading up. I will never use this again, which is a shame because it smells nice. If it didn't have any taste at all, I wouldn't be bothered. But a chemical taste is a no go in my book. I can't and won't sell that. I had to throw out the entire batch."

Q&A

I followed the recipe for the cherry lip balm but used the melon flavor oil instead and it had a very nasty bitter taste on my lips. The oil smells fine in the bottle though. Did I do something wrong?
Using too much flavor oil in recipes can cause them to taste bitter. When testing new flavors, always start at a low percentage (we normally recommend 1-2%) and increase until you have a desired flavor.
Can flavor oils be used in body sugar scrubs?
We do not recommend using flavor oils for products other than lip products.
Hello my question is on the % used on the melon it says 4% for lip use. So my question is the 4% base on how many oz. My recipe is 36oz, does that mean I need to use 1.44oz of melon.

Our Sweetened Flavor Oils do not contain any animal by-products. We however do not participate in any certification of Vegan products.
what exactly is used to make this product sweet? I need to be able to answer customers who ask.
The exact answer is proprietary. In my experience it is stevia or saccharin.
