One of my ""go to"" scents

"I was using another scent which was very tropical and enjoyable as a mainstay but Monkey Farts has replaced it. It is a lighter version and is more appealing in the soaps and especially lotions and creams. If you like the light scent of pineapple, bananas, and coconut you should enjoy this. Even my sister-in-law likes this one and she is hard to please. It is not overpowering."

If it wasn't for the name. . .

"I don't know if it would sell as well if it weren't for the funny name, I have people who bought it just because they want to give someone something called Monkey Farts to their friends or family. But WHO CARES!!! It smells great and it SELLS! And that's what it's all about ;-) Behaves very well in CP, no seizing or acceleration, and because of the crazy name, you can get very creative with colors, embeds all sorts of stuff. This is a fun one for sure!"

I notice that some of your IFRA information has changed. I keep my own records and am having to update. Also, why is hand cream different than body lotion? Some fragrance oils are the same and some are different. Please advise.
The information has changed so that it is updated to the current with IFRA Standards.
It shows that I can put 11% in my lotion. That seems like a lot. What is a good general amount to use?
The IFRA ratings are just a guideline to let you know the fragrance is safe up to that percent. You never want to put that much into a product. You need to look at the product you are making, in this case, lotion. We recommend up to 3% fragrance in a lotion. Why is there a maximum amount that you can use on products? What if I put too much fragrance in my bath bombs? Do I need to throw it away?
The "Maximum Use Level for Skin Exposure" is the amount of fragrance, flavor and essential oil that can come in contact with the skin. Too much fragrance can be harmful, causing skin irritations. It also presents technical issues such as glycerin dew on soap, runny lotion, thin shower gel, bitterness in lip products; and/or malfunctions with packaging such as warping. Products with too much fragrance are not safe for use. Ignoring IFRA guidelines can lead to liability issues.
