Staff Answer This product is approved for melt and pour and cold process soap only. It should not be used in lip or eye products, or bubble bath, bath bombs or lotion.

"Hi. I have a couple of questions: 1) Do these neon colors glow in the dark? 2) Could they be used dyeing yarns (protein-based like wool, cellulose-based like cotton, or blended (natural & man-made) yarns? Thanks."

Staff Answer These do not glow in the dark. You would have to test if they can dye wool or yearn, this is not something we do.

"Hi, I purchased a variety of neon powders and I am confused; most of them say not for melt and pour soap or bath bombs but most of the reviews say they use them in melt and pour and bath bombs. I only use detergent free melt and pour and would also like to use these colors in bath and shower bombs. Are they safe to use in these products? Also, forgot to ask about zombie dust!"

"Out of all the neon pigments, this is the only one that is not approved for nail use. Is it that it won't work in that medium? Or is the "not approved for cosmetics?""

Staff Answer Crafter's Choice Neons do not have a UV inhibitor in them so UV may cause fading.

"I noticed in the reviews people are using this colourant in their bath bombs when this colourant has stated that it is NOT for cosmetic use. When I looked at the ingredients: Polyester-3, Pigment Green 7, I'm not quite sure what is making this colour "not safe". These two ingredients by themselves are safe in cosmetics. Im in dire need of a neon green but WSP says not safe in cosmetics and in reviews people are using them in their bath bomb products. Help!"

Staff Answer These can absolutely be used in MP soap. The powder can be blended into the soap or you can also use the soap color bars which work very well.

Staff Answer We do not sell a jelly melt and pour soap base but we do not see why you could not use this powder for coloring the soap. You may want to check with the company you purchased the soap from to see what type of colors work best.

Staff Answer Yes, you can use this neon color with the foaming bath whip. This is considered a soap product. If making a scrub, that would be considered a cosmetic and would need to follow FDA guidelines for labeling.

Staff Answer It is best to mix the powder color with glycerin. This will blend very nicely into the soap.
