"This WSP Patchouli EO takes me right back to the late 60's. This is the fragrant, deep & aromatic scent that I remember. You don't need much to produce a good long-lasting scent in your butters, scrubs, soaps & perfumes. You can mix it with florals, citrus, woodsy scents all equally well to create beautiful combinations for your final creation. Of course, it's fantastic all alone in a roll-on perfume as well. Eeew but necessary!

"This is a yucky scent no matter where you buy it from in my opinion. I've noticed a love or hate relationship with Patchouli. People usually feel strongly for it on either spectrum! I hate it, some of my customers love it. . . I know we cant all like the same things so I am always going to carry this for others who do love it. WSP makes essential oils affordable and the research they put into their sources; buying only the best of the best within an affordable range gives me the confidence that shopping here is the best option for me and my shop."

Q&A

Is this essential oil pure with no added ingredients?
Yes, all of our EOs are certified 100% Pure.
My understanding is Patchouli has a 20 year shelf life, yet the Patchouli I purchased from you: Batch #08/05/19 says to use by 08/05/20. I'm confused. Can you clarify when this Patchouli was actually harvested and if I am missing some important information please? Thank You,Lou Scotese
You are correct, patchouli does have a very long shelf-life if properly stored. All our products have a "best used by date" of one year after purchase. This does not mean it should be thrown away. Most products are their freshest if used within a year but can last much longer than this. This date also helps our warehouse control batch numbers should we find a problem with a product.
Is this an aged patchouli, and if so, how long is it aged? Thanks!
Our Patchouli Essential Oil is not aged.
Will this darken in soap over time?
Patchouli is a naturally dark color so may turn your soap from a cream color to an amber color.
Will the EO burn off or loose its scent when used in melt and pour ? If not what temp should EO be added.
As long as you add the EO to your soap when the temperature is at 130° or lower it will not burn off. Some fragrance and essential oils may fade over time but in most cases the fading is barely noticeable.
