We are conforming to the regulation by reporting the existence, or lack thereof, of ingredients deemed reportable by the above mentioned regulations via a Safety Data Sheet (SDS), in Section 15 "Regulatory Information." Ingredients from Natural Food Sources (NFS) and are exempt from reporting in accordance with Title 27, § 25501(a).

Directions:

MELT: Determine amount of melt and pour soap base needed for your project. Carefully slice soap base into small pieces and place in microwave safe container. Heat on low at 30 second intervals. Stir between intervals until liquid. Handle hot soap carefully as it may burn the skin. Soap can also be melted in a double boiler.

MOLD: Stir in cosmetic color, cosmetic scent, and skin safe additives. Pour into a Crafter's Choice mold. Spritz soap surface with rubbing alcohol to remove bubbles. Allow to cool until hard.

ENJOY: Remove from mold and wrap with airtight plastic wrap. Your newly created melt and pour soap is now ready to use!

CAUTION: Melted soap is hot! For ages 15 and older.

Hello, Thank you for your question. To be on the safe side I would put a label the soap and put a warning on it (similar to how manufacturers put labels on products that are made near peanuts although they do not contain them). Erin

I would say allow the customer to make that decision. If they know they are allergic, they probably have gone to a physician. Have them check with their physician first. Or may already know the answer!

I don't think so. Wool comes from sheep. I am severely allergic to wool and other sheep products like lanolin. I have been making my own goat milk soap for about nine years and it is great on my skin. I started making soap because I am so sensitive to other products. Victoria

I would think that the milk is a separate by-product of any mammal than from the wool grease found in the fibers of any fiber producing animal. Sheep have lanolin, goats do not, although the angora goat and other fiber type goats do produce a wool wax type substance. From what I have read the evaluation on the goat's wool grease is different from the wool grease in sheep.

No, it wouldn't because goat milk soap is made of the milk and have nothing to do with the wool. So no you don't need to put a warning on your label.

No, it will not affect a person who is allergic to wool. Wool allergies are caused either by the scratchiness of the fibers themselves, or a sensitivity to Lanolin (an oily excretion by sheep which offers waterproofing of the skin). Goats do not produce lanolin and lanolin is not naturally present in milk.

Most people that are allergic to wool are allergic to the lanolin in wool. If this would fall under milk allergies.

Goats Milk Soap - no; however, products that have lanolin as an ingredient, a warning should be on the label for those who are allergic to wool as lanolin comes from sheep.

"Great Soap "

COMMENTS: I make this soap with activated charcoal and it absorbs the excess oil from the skin but the base leaves you soft. Very easy to work with, it doesn't seize up on me at all. Everyone who tried it called it very moisturizing. I have very sensitive skin and I didn't react or break out at all.

"Goat Milk Melt & Pour"

COMMENTS: This was my first time using this product. It melted easily and mixed with the Sparkle Pink Soap base evenly throughout. The soaps were easy to remove from the molds. I did notice that the rose petals and lavenders changed color whether I added them to the mold first, last or mixed in the soap. This is probably a beginner's error in the type of additive used more than the timing of the addition.

COMMENTS: WONDERFUL PRODUCT!! I made added FO to this product and made bunny soap for Easter. The finished product is a bright solid white. It melts evenly, adheres to FO, pour and clean up easy. This would be a great product to use with kids. Very simple and safe. I used silicone molds and was able to unmold within 1 hour. The mold size is 3/4 oz per cavity. No need to freeze or refrigerate in order to unmold.

"Loving the lather! "

COMMENTS: I will be continuing to purchase this soap base. I tested this by itself without melting and tested again after melting and pouring into a mold. Then another test was done adding scent and color. I am super impressed with the lather and how soft and clean it left my skin.The performance of this soap was consistent even after I melted, added scent and color. Very luxurious. I used this for the bottom of my water soluble snowflake soap with embed paper and premium crystal clear MP. INCREDIBLE!!

COMMENTS: I've been trying the different soap bases offered by WSP to see which ones I want to use in my line. I just didn't know WSP was going to make it so difficult for me by offering so MANY of high quality. While I did have several customers who wouldn't even try it BECAUSE it was Goat's Milk, the rest were impressed with the way they and their skin felt after using it. It worked well with the fragrances and pigment powders I used with it and melted and unmolded well. It also mixed well with another soap base when I had to combine what was left of them to complete a recipe. Will be ordering again.

"Great Product"

COMMENTS: This was my first melt and pour. I usually do cold process and hot process but was excited to try something else. This goats milk melt and pour is GREAT! Such fun and easy to work with. I wouldn't recommend packaging it next day because it was smoother, dryer and less sticky by the 3rd day. It holds the scent very well and I only have to use half as much fragrance with the melt and pour as I do with cp and hp. Also the color turns out excellent in the melt and pour. Will use way more often in the future.

COMMENTS: I was in business for more than six years starting in 2003 until my last daughter was born. I'm back now after five years off. The first thing I did was order the WSP goatmilk MP soap base. At one time back then I considered changing bc of price. The vendor I contacted actually asked me what I was switching from. When I said the WSP base he said if he were me he'd just stick with it b/c it was the top of the line base. He didn't put down his own, but only let me know, honestly, that I was using a great base. COMMENTS: This is an excellent soap base all around. It has a great lather, feels really good on your skin, cleans well, and is great for sensitive skin ! I like mixing this one with the baby buttermilk base, and adding the Tranquil Sleep f.o.

"LEAVES SKIN SOFT AND SILKY!"

COMMENTS: This was my first attempt at making soap and I must say, this is so easy to use. I thought I'd try making soaps for Christmas gifts and had complete success! The premium goat's milk melt and pour base leaves your skin soft and silky! Many of the people on my gift list have very sensitive skin, as well as my own children (one of which is a newborn). This soap base did not irritate even my newborn's skin.

COMMENTS: I think for soap bars, this product takes a while to harden up. However, in our solid sugar and soap scrubs, this is wonderful because it is a little softer. We love the end result.

"Pleasantly Surprised"

COMMENTS: I used the Premium Goat Milk for my first ever soap making project, which was wedding shower favors for 50. This base was really easy to use, and one 2 lb tray made a perfect sized loaf for the mold I purchased. I was concerned that the soap wouldn't hold up very well in the shower, but I've been pleasantly surprised at how well it's performing a week later. The lather is good and I didn't have any problems adding fragrance oils.

COMMENTS: I taught myself to make M&P using this base. I liked the gentle, natural scent this Goat Milk base came with (sort of cream and oatmeal like, but very muted), plus it felt soft on the skin. Not as creamy and moisturizing as more expensive bases out there, but definitely great for teaching yourself to soap and making soapy gifts for your family and friends. Easy to cut, moist enough to avoid crumbling, and unmolds easily. Holds a scent well. Does not sweat if you wrap it after unmolding (saran wrap and a heat gun works great).

"Premiun Goat Milk MP Soap Base"

COMMENTS: Another must have for me. I have customers who just plain love anything with goat's milk in it. Holds scent well, and I love the lovely white bars this makes. The rich lather is soothing, and leaves skin feeling smooth. The 2 pound package is a great size to have to make those quick custom orders. I will always have this handy!
