This is a cold mix base, so no heating is required. But, it can be heated up to 104F (40C) to thin base to make it easier to mix fragrance or additives. We recommend adding scent directly to the base and hand stirring with a spatula, limiting the incorporation of air.

"This is a beautiful multi use wash that I will buy again and again, so WSP PLEASE do not discontinue!! It does not have a bad odor as one reviewer wrote. It smells like a basic fragrance free wash. As far as this reviewer’s comment about it not ‘detangling,’ that is 100% on them and the conditioners they chose to use in their recipe not providing good ‘slip,’ (the professional term to use) and has NOTHING to do with this product itself. Do not hesitate on this one! You will not be disappointed!"
