Details

For melt and pour soap, pour at no hotter than 135°F, cool until hardened, then unmold—freezing briefly and dipping the mold bottom in warm water if needed. For cold process soap, lightly coat the mold with cooking spray, pour at trace, unmold after 24 hours, and cure 4–8 weeks; add sodium lactate if your recipe stays soft. For lotion bars, pour melted mixture (no hotter than 135°F), allow to solidify, then press the back of the mold to release. Wash molds in warm, soapy water and avoid dishwashers to prevent warping.

Super Easy To Use

"I fill this half-way full with my melt-n-pour soaps and it makes the perfect sample size. Super easy to unmold, and using a large butcher knife soap slices easily into pieces. Q&A

Could I use this mold for wax?: You can use Milky Way molds for wax but you need to watch the pour temp. These molds have a maximum temperature of 145°F.
Does cold process soap get too hot for this mold (after it is poured and if it goes through gel phase)?: We have used many Milky Way molds for CP soap and have not had a problem with the mold warping.
What is the best way to cut these apart?: We recommend using a straight soap cutter for all soap projects. For more precise lines you may chose to use a long bladed knife, however I would stress that you use extreme caution when using a sharp knife to cut soap as soap makes the blade very slippery.
