"Maybe I can't be objective, because I am obsessed with Peonies. When they are in season I treat myself every Friday to a breathtaking bunch; and wait patiently for them to blossom. Perfect warm sand scent.

"I live near the coast and people love beachy scents, but one can honestly get tired of them. Q&A

I am a bit confused about the usage of this fragrance. In the sea glass loaf mold recipe attached, it uses 1.2 ounces for 45 oz soap; the same recipe in the Handmade volume 66 uses 0.6 oz in 45 oz soap, and if I use the fragrance calculator it suggests 2.7 oz in 45 oz soap. Has the strength of this fragrance changed?
The recipe in our Handmade Library is calculated at slightly under 3%, which is what we recommend for MP soap. We may have increased the fragrance from the original one listed in Handmade Magazine to make it stronger smelling. If using the Fragrance Formulator, it calculates at 6%, which is the maximum amount of additives for MP soap. You can use this amount but it can be very strong with some fragrances. That is why we recommend using 3% which is usually right in the middle.
Can this be used in wax for candle fragrance?
This fragrance can be used in candle wax. You would need to follow the manufacturer's recommendation for fragrance load for your particular wax. As with any new fragrance, testing is recommended to be sure the fragrance is compatible with the wax.
I see this fragrance is is phthalate free, but is it also free of parabens? Thank you.
