Directions

Simply add up to 2% Fragrance or Essential Oils directly to base, mix, and spoon into your jars. It really is that easy! Cold mix base (meaning that heating is not recommended) but it can be warmed to 104 °F to make mixing of fragrance or additives easier. If base becomes solid due to cold temp, microwave in short bursts, mixing well in between. We recommend adding scent directly to the base and hand stirring with a spatula.

The best scrub base!

"This scrub base is so buttery and so workable. It doesn't harden up once it gets in the jars. It's so easy to mix in colors and fragrances/ or essential oils, exfoliants like coffee or salt (Some of my customers like to mix both sugar and salt, so that's why I mentioned salt) and when you're using it, it truly leaves your skin so soft, but not too greasy."

"This Body Polish is Top Notch. . . as is. It takes fragrance very well. Although sugar scrubs are somewhat easy to make I use this as a base and add more sugar along with camilla seed oil, jojoba oil and coconut oil. I do adjust my preservative as needed. It is a fabulous product and a little goes a long way. Everyone loves it! It leaves skin super soft and healthy looking. The texture is perfect."

Hi! Can i add a turmeric oil (turmeric and golden jojoba oil) to this? If so, how much do you recommend?: This base has a 2% additive load. You would need to test.
can you add goat milk to this?: We have not tested this. If you are testing goat milk in this we recommend testing and adding a preservative in your recipe such as Preservative - Water Soluble PF.
Do you need to add a preservative to this product and can you add mica powder and EO and FO? Also what is shelf life?: We recommend FD&C colors. You can add fragrance, please view the fragrance oil you are interested in IFRA Sheet. Look for category 9 for percentage recommended to be use.
Does this already have a preservative in it? If not what do you recommend and how much should be used?: You do not have to add a preservative to this base. It contains a preservative.
What's the consistency of this scrub base? Is the consistency gel-like?: This is a finished scrub with a butter/oil base with sugar as the exfoliant. It is not gel-like and must be packaged in a jar.
