"For newbies, this is a great way to get started. This base is amazing and super easy to use! The instructions could not be any clearer, ""add fragrance and color"" and that's it. The base is so creamy similar to thick lotion. It absorbs into the skin very well. It does have a slight scent; however, was able to overcome it with a little extra fragrance."

"I got two gallons of this and made 6 scents of body butter for an event. It took all of them very well & they all smell amazing. I used 2% fragrance as suggested (or less with a couple with lower usage rates) and mixed by hand with a silicone spatula. It cannot get easier than this when you don't want to formulate your own base. It's creamy and feels wonderful on your skin. Unscented it smells fine also so I plan to package some unscented as well for those with fragrance allergies. I will be keeping this on hand now & highly recommend it."

I would like to add additional extracts and fragrance to this base. What percentage of additives would work for it?: We have only added up to 3% fragrance oils to this base. It's a rich, thick lotion that absorbs quickly into the skin. We recommend testing your final product to ensure the lotion remains stable and does not separate if adding additional ingredients.
If I were to use a star piping tipe to pipe this base, would it hold a swirl shape?: You'd have best results whipping the base first, and it will not hold the shape over time.
Can I add vanilla color stabilizer to this base at a 1:1 ratio with the fragrance oil?: Yes, you can use Vanilla Color Stabilizer - Lotions - Washes. Use a 1:1 ratio if the fragrance vanillin content is 10% or greater.
Is this vegan? Cruelty free?: This product is not vegan, but it is cruelty free.
